Miralux Mattress Reviews

Another interesting company you might wanna know about is Miralux. They are covering the market with mattresses for the last 34 years and in comparison to other manufacturers they are rather young company. Do they have what it takes to compete to others? Find out in this Miralux mattress review.

Miralux is considered a luxury and is manufactured by an independent company - IBC. I guess you never heard of these mattresses and wonder why I am giving you this post and this review. This is simply because they have quality products to offer and they do not put a lot of focus on advertising. And this actually gives way for some interesting things to develop.

First, they do not have to spend a good chunk of money on advertising. Imagine how much money other companies have to spend with their aggressive advertising. And this money saved on advertising Miralux uses for research and to built better quality products. Also, of course, you will not have to pay for that advertising costs through the price of some of the products they sell.

On the other side, this very thing makes them unfamiliar on the market and people are missing out on the quality and affordable mattresses.

Since they are making affordable and quality mattresses, we can highly recommend you to try finding one and test it. A lot of stores will allow you to test the product on the spot, some of them even allow customers to try out the mattress for 30 days and see how their body will respond to a new sleeping surface.

IBC makes mattresses that are made with micro fiber ticking. It is 50% finer than some other materials such as silk. On the other side, this material is highly durable and makes a Miralux mattress great choice because it doesn't create any lint. You can find lint on other mattresses, but not with these. This is another advantage you have to take into account.

If you need a cool mattress when you sleep, this is one of those that could help you - not make you even more hot. The air will flow free while the water vapor will be stopped outside. This is perfect because the dust will be repelled and this prevents any allergic reactions. Sure, a lot of other brands will offer you the same thing, but this is something worth mentioning and increases the value of a product.

When it comes to the coils that support the bed, Miralux uses Lura-Flex technology, which means that every coil will flex independently and give your body more comfort, more space to let your body relax with ease. You won't even notice when there is any movement, the surface will flex and give a great feeling for your body while you sleep in your bed.

One other important detail, before we finish this IBC mattress review, is the Luscious Microfiber fabric. They give a great comfort and will definitely satisfy even the high standards. With the help of foam encasing and foam layers, mattress will be your choice that brings a good night of sleep and a full wallet. You won't have to give entire fortune on one mattress. You just have to choose which firmness level you want for your needs, and that's it!

Last important thing for today will be to visit other reviews we have here and read visitor comments, especially what one of the visitors of this blog had to say. It is an enlightening post indeed.

My mom bought an almost $4000 king-size Miralux and after a very short time -- less than three months -- there were visible indentations on both sides of the bed where my parents sleep. After sleeping on it myself for one night, I woke up with the familiar backache caused by unsupportive mattresses. My mother also has terrible backaches in the morning and has never received sufficient customer support to address the quality if this product. If you are thinking of buying a Miralux, DON'T. Spend the money on something like a Tempurpedic.

As a follow-up, after contacting the company, she was told that the bed does not sag "enough" to warrant a replacement/refund.

Bought a king size for $2000 at sleepys and it has failed. The mattress sags and is disfigured. I'm getting the run around and hired a home inspector that verified a defective product. Sleepys will not honor their sale or promises.

I have a king size Miralux mattress that I got at Macy's and it has served me well for the last two years. I guess there can be lemon mattresses too, but I was lucky not to get them before. Now I'm getting one for my niece, so I'm checking the same brand again. Hope I will pick the right one.

I wish I had found this web site before I had purchased a mattress at Sleepys. The Miralux mattress is a terrible mattress. Don't waste your money. Also if you have a problem don't expect Sleepy's to help you. The only thing Sleepys knows how to do is advertise.

The Miralux mattress we purchased at Sleepy's is horrible. Within one month it started to feel softer. It's now over two months and we ache every single morning. What a waste.

Miralux mattres I bought in Sleepys. Was big mistake. One year AND its gone. And Seepys avoid my warranty.Never deal with Sleepys .

I also bought my Miralux mattress at Sleepys. I like a very soft mattress and The one at the showroom was very cozy. When The mattress was delivered to my house I knew immediately something was wrong. I called the company and they told me because of the temperature and due to the fact that I'm not overweight this rock hard piece of matterial is going to take some time to soften. After a week I got the bed exchanged for an even softer one and it still wasn't nearly as soft as the one in the show room. This matress is nice and I had no sagging but it was not was I was looking for. I wonder if Sleepy's puts misleading show mattresses out on their floor. The 1st complaint I had they were acommadating but any further inquires were disregared by the company. My parents got a bum mattress at Bob's discount furniture and at their 1st complaint the problem was fixed. Sleepy's was AWFUL to deal with and now I have a mattress to sell because I had to go back to my waterbed. DON'T DEAL WITH SLEEPY'S

Don't waste your money on Miralux. This miralux rapture mattress felt good in the store, but after actually sleeping on it for a few nights, we wish we had our 7 year old mattress back. This was a big mistake for us and we got talked into it at Slelepy's. The mattress industry plays lots of games & tricks, as there is no real way to compare. My advice is to stay with a name brand and if possible, buy from a reputable department store or furniture store. After my first complaint, when the mattress was only a few days old, Sleepy's told me to wait a few weeks for the mattress to "break in" and of course after the 21 day return is up, they won't take it back. Even if returned within 21 days, they charge $400 and you lose your bargaining position for another one. The price tag in the store was $2600 and we got it for $1000. It was no bargain and we're going to give it away or throw it in the trash.

I've done additional research on Miralux mattresses and found some very inconsistent information.

It seems that most people are not satisfied with the mattress they bought from Miralux, yet I've found quite a number of those that are. I can't put my finger on it, but I would say that you really have to have luck and pick the one that is not lemon. Most companies produce a small percentage of lemon products, but Miralux seems to be doing it the other way around.

Thanks everyone for their comments, I really appreciate it.

I work in the industry and I know IBC very well as I have been competing with them for years. I think it should be noted, that Sleepy's does $10-15 million a month in retail $ with IBC and their Miralux products. So, as far as most products being deemed lemons, I think that would be an inaccurate statement considering the volume of business they do. Consumers should understand that most who are satisfied with their product whether it be mattresses or anything else rarely post comments about how much they love them. Honestly, most positive feedback you read about mattresses, was most likely published by the manufacturer themselves to help even it out. Sealy actually hired people to monitor the web for bad publicity and post rebuttals to regain consumer confidence. If its not that its other retailers trying to sell you something they carry since they don't have the product they are degrading. Here is an example, I have attached a link to a site where an "unbiased" expert tells customers which mattress is best for them, coincidentally every mattress is a Sealy and almost all posts recommend Sealy Springfree.

http://comment-blog.advance.net/cgi-bin/mte/mt-search.cgi?tag=miralux&blog_id=1177

I don't support Miralux, and the statements I have provided could be applied to other companies as well. I chose to post this here because I believe Cathy is genuinely trying to provide accurate info, but you must be wary when someone is downing one product to try and sell you another.

Here are a few facts to consider with mattress vendors:

Manufacturers aim for warranty exchanges to be under 2% of total output to be considered acceptable at the plant level.

Most retailers will take a line off of the floor if they are higher than 5%.

Comfort exchanges, like some mentioned in earlier posts where the bed delivered to them feels different than the one they laid on in the showroom are also analyzed by the manufacturer and given a 2% threshold as well. This number can vary based on the price points of the mattresses, typically the more expensive a bed is the higher the comfort exchange rate where consumer expectations are higher. Chattam & Wells boasted a 32% comfort exchange rate in 2005 at one of the major accounts I worked on in Los Angeles. Ouch! Now that is absolutely unacceptable.

I just wanted to provide a little insight from the other side to help educate consumers on info that can't be found in most reviews.

If I was shopping for a bed, and read about the $4000 Miralux Sarah's Mom was unhappy with, and took her advice to go purchase a Tempurpedic. I would want to go and lay down on that bed and make the decision for myself. Tempurpedic is a Love/Hate type of feel with Tempurpedic publishing their approval rating at slightly above 50%. That doesn't mean Tempurpedic makes bad beds, it means that there name is so strong people have bought them based on recommendations and some sight-unseen because their friends or family members may have had them.

The moral of the story is: everyone has a unique preference in feel, and don't turn your back on a bed that has the feel you are looking for because you read a couple bad reviews. Based on manufacturing guidelines for mattresses, for every one bed that comes out how Sarah's mom's bed did, there are 49 good ones with satisfied customers sleeping on them.

Jim,

Thank you very much for this valuable information. It really is a view from the other side.

I am glad you also support trying out the mattresses before you actually decide for one.

I have to agree that people who are satisfied with their products won't write about it on the web, but when you find more negative comments about one brand than about other, you start to think that company really has trouble with delivering value. I guess it's hard to decide what is the real truth, since a consumer hardly has all the facts.

Once again, thanks for the input. I learned something new and will definitely apply it in future mattress reviews here.

I just have to comment as to what cathy said in reply to Jim, i agree that if people were really happy with a mattress they most likely would not comment BUT when you read multiple negative comments abouta brand/ store you really start to wonder. I just cancelled and order for a miralux and now I'm glad that I did. And for the comments about Sleepys i agree. Delivery stinks. I would not shop there again.

me and my gf just bought a queen Miralux and yes the floor model did seem alot firmer then the one we got. the bed is nice and when i sleep on it i do feel like i'm laying on a cloud. again i do have a back problem. i was reading before about some one with a back problem and seemed this bed is good for them aswell.
its been like 6 days on the bed i will see more in the next week but from me it was a ok investment so far.

I purchased a Miralux from Sleepy's about a month ago; I was told it is "an exclusive west coast brand and highly sought after." What a bunch of rubbish. Although the bed is comfy, it is very cleary sagging in the middle where I sleep after only one month and I weigh 140 lbs. At first I thought it must be my imagination as a brand new " luxury" bed could never sag after only one month! But it is visible and I can cleary FEEL the indentation. It's cozy but I doubt it will last several years; wish I would have done my research prior to purchasing.

We bought a miralux bed afer our saleswoman convinced us that it is a good brand which is sold at IKEA and other places. We were shocked to find that our mattress was much firmer in the showroom than what we got delivered.Slept on it for three days and alread have a very sore backache. Will never buy a Miralux brand mattress and advice others not to.It will save you money and backache.Go for big namebrands as they have much better quality mattresses.

I bought a queen size miralux on sale for 770, thats with the box and everything. So far I have had no real huge problems, just one small one. I have slept on firm mattresses my whole life and so this foam layer feels good at first but by morning it can feel a little funny, nothing that really keeps me up. i know this is a "feel" issue, but I hope that in the future the foam layer does not permanently sag in. if it does not sag, I'd say its a good mattress (first time I bought a new mattress).

What does concern me is that the sales rep pushed it over a sterns and foster plaza mattress that was on clearance for 100 more. I will be pissed if in one year or so I see deep sagging. I find it unethical to push a miralux and not let the consumer know that you are making more money off of it. In sales trust is key, so if i find out later that a plaza mattress is worth the money and the miralux is nowhere near as good, I will never trust sleepy's again; not just that location the whole company.

In response to the earlier comment on the industry, if sleepy's is selling a whole lot of miralux, they will not get away from selling bad models forever, especially with no advertising. So I guess I will find out in a few months if the company makes a good bed.

overall, the price was right, it still feels great overall at night and I am happy. No matter what, next time I buy a mattress I am doing tons of homework.

We've lost all confidence in Sleepy's. We tried their 'diagnostic' bed which was supposed to indicate the best mattress for us. Instead of giving us what we asked for, (we wanted something similar to hotel quality like Hilton, Homewood Suites, or Sheraton), we were pushed to the Miralux. What a piece of crap. It's nothing like what we tried in the store. We had someone come out to inspect the mattress and later received a B.S. call that they found nothing wrong. They call it a 'comfort issue'. We are not heavy people and this mattress makes us feel like we're sliding downhill toward the center into the abyss! The mattress had an original price tag of $2599, but they were selling it for 1700. After changing our minds, the salesman on the phone lowered the price to $1000 including tax and delivery. I tell you, this mattress isn't worth even $100. Sleepy’s will do nothing to remedy the problem except to sell us another mattress at inflated retail list prices. We are out of luck, our backs are aching and will have to kiss our $1000 goodbye and will go to a major, reputable department store to buy a name brand mattress. No more Sleepy's and no more crapy Miralux for us. I only wish I had checked online first, to read all the negative feedback on Sleepy's and Miralux mattresses.

Glad so many people have been shopping for a mattress. As an executive for a large bedding manufacturer I wanted to give some advice to shoppers everywhere. Go into the showroom and try several brands, don't limit yourself to what a sales person says is the best bed. Everyone is different. As far as problems, with all the mattresses sold each year in america the average return rate is about 3 out of 100 pieces. We know from research that Miralux by IBC, Kingsdown and a few other brands are well under the national average for return rates.

Mattresses are very personal and to that end each one of us has different perferences. Take your time and bring your pillow from home - take off your shoes - lie back and relax. Then, you have made an informed decision. Don't listen to advertising, sales people or computers - listen to your own back.

I ended up choosing the Miralux casue i liked it better. My wife and i were really keen on the fur like fabric. My daughter has beenie babies and teddy bears and calls it the teddy bear mattress.

we just bought a new mattress and it is a miralux, i don't know if it was the right buy but the price was right... we only paied 500 for a queen size bed. the first bed we bought was only 300 and it lasted about 3 years. I'm hoping that this one will last allitle long... But from what i can read, this is NOT a good brand... I have yet to find a good review. I just hope that if it's not the right one for us we can take it back...

We just bought a Miralux at Sleepy's in the million dollar sale. They were very nice delivery was on time and we are happy with the bed. We bought teh splendor which was 900 in queen. I think we should all give them a break since you can find bad salespeople in any store with so many locations. D

We bought a 2500 Miralux with our tax return. We were shopping at Macy's and did not like the salespeople. Sleepy's people were very nice, the only thing was that they tried to get uis on the machine which tells u which mattress to buy. I dont know about you but i make that decision not some computer which probably tells me to buy the one that makes them more money. We bouth the Miralux Rapture because it was soft and had some firmness. We are coming from a 14 year old Sealy Posturepedic so we bought good quality before too. We both had back aches so we knew it was time for a new bed. Anyway, we love it and it is just as comfortable in our room as it was in the store. Everyone should just come down off teh high horse and understand that there are good adn bad people everywhere. Sleepy's may have some bad ones, but most must be good or they would not be so successful. As far as Miralux, the sales man did not have to push us it was the softest bed we ever felt with almost a fur like cover called microfabric. all these people with bad problems should just buy new beds since the one i got was really cool. Thanks Miralux

I bought my king size Miralux 18 months ago from Sleepys for $2,000. It has been a waste of hard earned money. There are two body imprints in it and a hump where we don't sleep in the middle. The warranty says that the mattress has to be indented 3 inches before it can be replaced, but by that time we will be inside the bed. I wake up in so much pain my back is killing me, and I can't sleep on this bed any longer. I wish I would have done my homework before buying this bed! Save your money!

We just bought the Miralux Splendor PL from the Long Island Sleepy's. I have to admit I was hesitant after reading these reviews, but I'm glad we made our decision based on our own preference. We have been sleeping on it now for 6 months and we absolutely love it! The salesman profiled us with a high tech machine but did not limit us to that brand which was Kingsdown. We tried a Sealy, King Coil, Kingsdown, and the Miralux. The soft microfiber material on the Miralux felt great, I wish we didn't have to put sheets over it. We did not feel swayed to any particular brand and our mattress pro, as they call themselves, answered all of our questinos and was very polite.

The only questionable thing I would mention is pricing, it seems the prices on the tag are inflated. We ended up saving 40% off of the list price, and when we shopped at Macy's everything was 50% off. I find it hard to believe businesses can survive giving away 40-50% of their profit on every sale. It is a deceptive technique that the industry should put an end to, that goes for the furniture business too. Just give me a real price that is fair and I won't have to grind for a deal.

I have had my queen size Miralux mattress for exactly one month now. I have experienced one night of backache, but besides from that, I have no complaints about the mattress. I was wondering if the people who are complaining about the mattress have been correctly rotating the mattress as directed. I have been rotating it, and I have not yet seen any sagging at all.

Beware of salespeople pushing off brands, as stated in this blog the Miralux is a product from a house brand or private label manufacturer.
The problem is that the small guys cheat on whats inside of the mattress, that is why it feels diffeent at home. Face it sleepys pushes Kingsdown and Miralux with bs stories of contsruction and silly long warranties that they will not honor as noted by many complaints on various websites.
The commission on these items is 3 times higher than the other brands when discounted!
Buyer Beware the prices at that type of store are tripled, if you don't believe me, buy a mattress with a small deposit, then cancel the order before delivery you will be called by the save team and they will lower the price by a bunch. the bottom line is do your homework look for a store that is not on commission and you will find salespeople with your interest at heart not a quick hit and run.

Cathy said...

Wow, we really gathered some good information here. And we finally have some good Miralux mattress experiences.

It's not hard to find a model that will be perfect for you, if you do your homework and see what is exactly out there.

I think that most people have to do a bit more thinking and comparing. It's a bad idea to simply walk into a store and buy the first thing you find attractive, be it price, size, features...

Again, some really great advices from people who bought Miralux here. Thank you all for your input.

To the mattress vet:

Get a life and the makers of Miralux are a $160,000,000.00 company and Kingsdown is $100,000,000.00 in sales. What really matters here is the comfort of the customer. If you go to a store not on commission they will not push you, they also will not care. Buy the advertised special or the best that they have won't matter to them. Go where you can get some good knowedgeable salespeople who will coach you through the process. Would you want to make an investment with someone who did not look like they cared? I think not...

I just purchased a Mirralux. It's a beautiful bed so plush and soft. It feels great when I get into it at night. In the morning though I waake up wwwith such a lower back ache I can hardly put on my shoes or leash on the dog. It has been almost 2 weeks. By mid afternoon the ache is gone. I teach physical education to special needs students and I need to be able to bend over or lift my legs up. I'm so worried because I had read the reviews on Miralux and went back to the salesman at Sit n Sleep the nest day and he assured me that would not happen with the quality of the mattress I purchased and then he walked away from me. I haven't contacted them yet becaause it says on the receipt you have to sleep on it 30 days before you can return it. I just hope I can keep on teaching for the next 16 days.

We purchased a high end Miralux mattress from Sleeps less than 6 months ago and we've had problems with it the entire time. We've called them out to look at the bed and their independent reviewer could clearly see that it had terrible indentations however it wasn't enough to warrant receiving a new mattress. We wake up with horrible back aches each day. The bed seemed much more firm in the store and at first it felt like a dream. My husband, sleeps in a dip everynight because the bed sags so badly around him. We don't know what to do as Sleeps isn't being very helpful!

I purchased the Miralux mattress set from Sleepys in Cambridge, MA, and have slept on it for 3 nights. My 18-year old mattress (Serta) was killing my neck, shoulders, and lower back. So far this mattress is a dream, naturally conforming to my body's curves and I wake up pain free---a first in probably 3 years. As a stomach sleeper, the mattress delivers so far. The one thing that I have noticed is that it is indeed a hot sleep. Most of what I've read about this mattress and the manufacturer's claims say that it should be a cool sleep. I'm not concerned about it yet and will keep in mind whatevery one has said about the mattress!

I too purchased a miralux mattress three years ago from sleepy's. To date, it is sagging in the middle and is most annoying that we spent so much money on this mattress hoping to get a good ten years or better, which it is guaranteed for 15 years. I must add that this was the third mattress we have gone through with them after returning two that we had a problem with. I tried emailing sleepy's to get a number for miralux to see if they would help me get this looked at and hopefully fix the problem, but I never received a reply. If I do get the number I will post it for others that are having the same problem.

No one ever mentions exactly what was the model of Miralux they bought. Are the people posting comments overweight or what type of mattress did they buy? I am about to have delivered a mattress that is a warranty replacement from Spring-Air for the same reasons of sagging in the middle.

I purchased the Miralux elegance firm does anyone who is not overweight have any comments on this mattress?

I bought a Miralux Splendor for my mom after being convinced by the Sleepy's salesman it is better than Sealy's, just not advertised. I almost had a heart attack when I saw the online reviews after getting home, but when I called the Sleepy's salesman, he said most bad comments are "posted by competitors, not consumers." Well I am a real consumer, and I am saying DO NOT BUY THIS MATTRESS! My mom was never really comfortable on this mattress (she said it creaked a lot when she moved), and it started sagging on the side she slept on after less than 1 month. At around the 40-day mark, when I stripped the mattress & cover to make the bed, I discovered the edging had RIPPED -- the top & side of the mattress were separated and I was looking inside the mattress! A mattress not even 2 months old that was sagging, uncomfortable, and ripped. I also emailed Sleepy's 3 times and they they never responded, but their 800-SLEEPYS customer svc # was very helpful. They sent out a 'mattress marshal' who fortunately ruled in our favor and classifed the mattress as defective. However, the manufacturer just gives you a Sleepy's credit for the price of the mattress -- not the delivery. I fought this to the nth degree and we're finally having a new Sealy Postpurpedic delivered this week for only "half" the delivery price -- $45. (I will say the salesman in Sleepy's Lynbrook was helpful & very nice when I returned about this; seems like he did his best to minimize the damage for me. I was not getting that feeling from Sleepy's corporate cust svc dept at all.) I'm still fighting the $45 but at this point I'm grateful to just get RID of this piece of garbage. Please do NOT buy a Miralux mattress.

My husband and I purchased a Miralux Indulgent king bed in Nov 08. In the beginning it was nice. Within 2 months we would wake up in a hole! We are not overweight. My husband sleeps on his stomach and i sleep on my back. This mattress is horrible!! We were not told in the store that we would have to rotate the mattress. Upon delivery we were told to rotate the bed so many times for the first few months. So we did. Now we have to rotate it 1/4 turn each week. This isn't quality. We paid nearly $2000 for this piece of junk. I called Sleepys and a mattress inspector was going to contact me within 5 business days... no such luck. I called again and we will see were we get. I was told that there has to be a 1 1/2 inch dip in the mattress to have it replaced. I don't want another piece of junk mattress. I doubt highly that Sleepys is going to help me out here. I too wish I would have done more research on this mattress.

Ok im scared now... I just ordered a Miralux Rapture. We thought we got a great deal but is that because it is a cheaply made bed. Its was between the Stearns and Foster and Miralux. Maybe i should be canceling and buying the S&F for a few hundred more. And I am thinking twice about sleepy's also.... not a good feeling.

I bought a king size Miralux Raoture about 1 year ago & I couldnt't be happier with it. I swear by it. I actually exchanged a Sealy bed that was totally uncomfortable for the Miralux. I am actually looking to buy a queen size for another room.

I bought a Miralux Rapture PT Queen, and could not be happier. It's quite comfortable, and has never given me any issues in the three months that I've had it so far. I like a softer type of mattress. I'm actually moving down to Charlotte, NC, and cannot take it with me, so I'm trying to find mattress stores down there that carry the same brand. Thankfully, my current mattress will go into the guest room in my parents home.

I've had a Miralux for about 3 years and would never recommend it or any mattress with a memory foam topper built into it. They sag - not enough to meet the terms of the warranty - just enough to give you a chronic backache. I rotate the mattress regularly, sleep on alternate sides every few days to let the foam level out, and sleep on the floor when my back hurts too much. I'm ready to cut it open, remove the memory foam and replace it with some other type of padding - but don't know what else to put over the springs. Has anyone else tried 'remodeling' the mattress itself? I will try flipping it over first - thanks for the good tip.

This is my first time ever posting a comment on anything but I feel I should commment on this. I purchased the Miralux Rapture pillow top in Feb 2007- so about 2 1/2 years ago. This bed feels exactly like it did in the show room. It feels wonderful, like a cloud. After reading all negative comments this morning I went up and stripped my bed to see what I might be missing and nothing. I haven't even turned it yet. I was only reading about it as my daughter wants the same bed, which I'm buying soon and wanted to see if there was anything new and I came upon this site. As far as my dealings with Sleepys goes, that was perfect as well. There was no pressure, I tried every single bed that looked even remotely interesting to me. I decided on this one myself. I have taken her there twice and we will go once more for her to make her final choice. It is up to us as consumers not to let a salesman pressure us(you) into buying anything we do not want. Take your time. Relax on the bed. Go back another day if you need to. This is a decision you have to sleep with for 10 years plus (no pun intended). I do not work in the mattress field nor in the sales field. If you let yourself get rushed into buying something, you will buy the wrong bed and end up miserable. That applies to anything we purchase. Finally, I must mention that I think generally people who have problems with their beds or buying the wrong bed for them, are going to be looking for help or wanting to complain. Those, like myself, probably most people will have purchased their mattress, all is well and they generally don't go looking on the internet to see who else is happy with their Miralux. Generally, the comments would mostly be from those who are upset, dissatisfied, etc. Miralux is the right bed for me. Good luck finding the right bed for you. I hope this helps. Linda

We bought a Miralux Splendor King size mattress about one month ago and I want to say it's been great so far. After buying it I checked it out online and when I saw such horrible reviews I almost cancelled my order! It think as consumers we are bound to have positive AND negative experiences with any product we purchase, and I'm just happy that so far my experience is a good one. The moment I lay down I want to fall asleep because the mattress is so comfortable, at first I did wake up with some pain because the mattress isn't as firm as what I'm used to. I've gotten used to it now and I love it. So far we have no indentations, we rotated it last weekend so we'll rotate it again next weekend. The mattress was about $1500 including tax/delivery which was kindof high but not really considering all of the other prices I saw that day!! In a month I'll post again if I am still happy or if I am unhappy with the mattress. I just don't want it to only have negative reviews, I like it!

I bought a Queens size of Miralux Luxuriant Mattress for my mom‘s birthday present about two moth’s ago, and it cost me almost $2600. Well my mom kind of love it, even thought she blamed me all the time about the money I spent on it. She really enjoyed her sleep time, she liked MIralux‘s mattress because it was really soft and comfortable. She believed it was her best experience ever. After I read comments from others, I do not really think that is a big issue for me because my mom is having a good time, and I am thinking to buy one more Miralux for my kids in the future. I think $2600 of mattress is worth to buy it.

I wonder is Miralux's mattress really that bad?? I also bought one queens size of mattress from Miralux, and I am having a really good time.

I am just thinking about to purchase one mattress recently, and I did go to Sleepys couple days ago. The sales in Sleepys recommend me to buy Miralux, I try Miralux's bed, and I do not think that is kind of awful. I just wonder, if Miralux 's mattress is really like a piece of crap and Sleepy is so evil to push this crab to customers then how come Sleepy is still doing their business so well, and customers keeps going back to buy a mattress. Well, I really appreciate every one's comments and inputs, and I think those are really helpful. However I just doubt for some of reviews. I think different mattress fit different people; therefore I will compare and try more mattress before I make the decision.

I finally bought Miralux's mattress from Sleepys. I spend total $1800 for Full Size of Miralux Rapture Pillow Top Mattress. I am really having a good time now, and I wonder why Miralux has such of bad reviews. Is it possible that these reviews made by their competitors?

My sister bought a Miralux mattress a few years ago , and she's loved it since. As far as the warranty, there's some fitted sheet that you have to put on it. I don't know all the terms, but as far as I know they offer replacements.

I bought a Miralux Full Size on sale at Sleepy's for about $800 last week, and it was delivered yesterday. My first night sleeping on it was great. I'm only 21 and I don't suffer from back pain or anything, but I woke up feeling more rested than I have in a long time. I don't remember the last time I got such a great nights sleep, but my entire morning (and my day so far) has been great just because of the positive outlook associated with a good night's sleep.

I prefer a firmer bed, and the Miralux was perfect. The pillow top isn't so thick that I'd feel enveloped by it, and the mattress underneath was firm enough to make me feel support it. I recommend this mattress based on my own and my sister's experience.

Just as a note, I was replacing an 8 year old mattress wire-framed mattress.

When I first sleep on my Miralux mattress, I do have backache problem. I guess it because I never sleep on the mattress that so soft before. However after 1 week I am used to it. Every time when I lie down on my bed, I really do not want to get up. I really enjoy my time on Miralux’s bed

I am also having a good time with my mattress from Miralux. I bought one queen size of Miralux Splendor firm Mattress, and it cost me about $1500. I wonder why a lot of users are having such a bad feedback for Miralux’s product. I kind of enjoy my mattress and I am having a great time.

Not sure if my other comment went thru so here goes again:

I went to sleepys looking for a new mattress. The salesman was very helpful. He showed me all kinds of mattress with all different price ranges and quality. I chose miralux because I liked it the best for me.
The price was $1500 for the mattress box spring and frame with delivery and setup! I thought a great deal.
It was delivered the next day and I absolutely love it!! Only problem is I don't ever want to get out of bed!
Awesome mattress and job well done to sleepys! Thank-you!!

I am really confused about these reviews. I am just thinking about to replace a new mattress for my new apartment. My friend recommend me to buy Miralux's product, he bought one king size of Miralux Splendor Firm Mattress one years ago, and he spent $1500 on it. However after I read these reviews, I start to lose my confident for this mattress. Even thought my friend told me this mattress is really worth to buy it, these reviews may just made by their competitors.

I am not a mattress competitor. I am a physician who bought a Miralux mattress two years ago and we have had a miserable time. We rotated it as directed but within a couple of months it began to sag on each side with a hill in the middle. lt has gotten worse over time. I can barely get out of bed in the morning. You can see the visible sags.

Sleepy's recommended we call the mattress inspector. THey don't even display this mattress on the floor any more. The inspector came out and said it didn't sag enough, only 1/2 inch but that they take into account the customer's description as well. He said they have also had A LOT OF TROUBLE WITH THIS MATTRESS but did not know what the company would do. They denied it of course. It cost us $2300 and from all the other posts, we expect nothing will be done.

NO MATTRESS SHOULD BE VISIBLY SAGGING AFTER A COUPLE OF MONTHS. This is not a matter of what people like. This is poor mattress construction which the company will not address.

I am going to report both Sleepy's and Miralux to the Massachusetts Better Business Bureau in the Attorny General's office. At least it should be on record.

The Miralux mattress is a disappointment!! After 14 years, I thought that it was time for a new mattress so I purchased a Miralux last November. After one month, it had a visible indentation and after a year of sleeping on it, the indentation is as large and deep as my previous 14 year old mattress. In addition, I wake up with the same back ache that prompted me to purchase the new mattress. Thankfully, I 'only' paid about $500 for it; however, it's $500 out the window as I am greatly disappointed in the product. My advice: spend the extra money and purchase a top name brand that is known for its durability and longevity.

I just purchased a Miralux Rapture PT Queen and full and I love it! I think different strokes for different folks! As with all products, there will always be some that love it and others that hate it. I personally am enjoying my mattress, I tried several different brands/models in the store and am very pleased with my selections. I think some of these posters are either competitors or over the top with their complaints. Each person should decide for themselves after careful consideration which product is best for them. Again, not everyone will experience the same results! Stop bashing the company and/or brands as so called "top brands" may also have defects/lemons amongst them.

i never thought i would have to research a mattress brand before buying it, but i wish i had, bc we also bought a miralux and less than 2 years later it is HORRIBLE. my husband mentioned it first, i guess bc he is heavier and his side started to sag sooner than mine. some days i wake up with extremely sore back muscles and at this point its getting ridiculous. i cannot believe Sleepy's considered a 2 inch indentation "normal". what a JOKE. so, i guess we wasted $1000 on a mattress that is a piece of poop. i've always purchased my mattresses at Sleepy's and i have never hd a problem until we bought this luxury lemon. looks like we will be spending our tax return on a new mattress, bc i am pregnant and comfort is a priority for me at this point. so angry i didnt think to go home and research the brand before we let hte pushy salesman at Sleepy's convince us to buy this. i want to bring this mattreds back to sleepy's, place it out front of the showroom, and light it on fire.

As many posters have noted, the comfort of a mattress is a personal thing. To others who have questioned whether the negative reviews are fabricated by competitors, I for one am not a competitor. Just speaking on behalf of my parents who spent an inordinate amount of money on a terrible mattress with absolutely no support from the company who sold it or the manufacturer. Finally, after having another official measurement taken by an independent company, the mattress is sagging "enough" and they received a partial store credit at Sit-n-Sleep for the bad mattress.

I'm having a hard time believing more than one person has included the phrase "I'm having a good time with it" or something to that extent in their review. That's just not a natural phrase to say in a review of a bed. Hard to believe. It's also making it that much more difficult to make a decision. My boyfriend and I went into a Sleepy's last week. I was highly impressed with the salesman. He had us try a Sleep to Live mattress- which we LOVED but was higher than our price range. He immediately directed us to the Miralux Splendor Plush. We had previously given him a price ceiling of $1500 when we had layed on the Sleep to Live. He was very quick to offer us the mattress, the box springs, sheets, a mattress cover, two latex foam pillows, two latex pillow covers and "free" delivery for just above our ceiling. It was kind of suspicious - especially when he had to "get approval" from a "manager". Kind of seemed staged. He was a very nice man and a very smooth and convincing salesman. It would be nice to buy a mattress from an honest person. It's hard to read reviews knowing the someone out there is OBVIOUSLY writing reviews for this mattress and is having "such a good time with it". Seriously...we are not stupid!

I'm suprised that Miralux Mattress got bed reviews. Fact, it takes few days to get to used to it. Few first days felt a little bit hot, but we put extra cover. Since then, we love it. Take your time at the store, it's worth trying it.
Good luck!

Wow you guys seem very upset. I love my bed. I have had a miralux 4 years now after being on a terrible serta and I'm fine. This much anger about not liking a product is a bit much. Try buying a new bed. We all make decisions that don't allways work out. Try exchanging the bed. When I bought mine sleepys was very up front with there policies. For goodness sakes they aren't a manufacturer are they?

I was reading these reviews all this week, having purchased a Miralux from Sleepy's last weekend and I was honestly sh!tting my pants worried that I may have bought a piece of crap. I got it for $1200, which is more than I wanted to spend, but it is what it is. Last night was my first night on the bed and to be honest, it was awesome. I did not want to get out of bed this morning, not that I ever do, but I was soooo comfortable. To give you an idea of my physiology, I am 26, 5'9", 160lbs, a guy, and have a VERY bad back from scoliosis. My back was fine last night. No more pain than usual; mabye even a little less. I am not giving Miralux/sleepy's the "A OK" yet, but as for night #1, I was very happy with my purchase. Stay tuned for an update, as I am a very opinionated person.

Much Love - Tim

PS. I was also very disturbed that people said they "had a good time" with their mattress. Probably some dude working for Miralux in India posting on blogs all day.

My Miralux Splender after 3 years is falling apartand Sleepy's will not do any thing about it. Claims there was stain, NO stain. Had protector cover we sucked into buying, on it since we got it. Mark must have been there when delievered or inspector put it there. Warranty was useless. A few months ago we changed from platform bed to regular and bought Miralux box springs to keep warranty. What a joke!

My dad just bought me a Miralux from Sleepy's and I love it. I am not sure why everyone goes crazy off somebody's bad or good experience. WE are all unique and have different needs. By the way Sarah and her 4000 dollar king size mattress appear on almost every site i looked at before buying. Sounds a bit fishy to me so it may be that Miralux's competition is putting all the bad press out there. Too bad since I love my Splendor...

I am totally goofed out. These reviews are so offensive (the bad ones are at least). We spent a small fortune at Sleepys recently. We purchased a couple of beds for our home and our summer home as well. So far while our first purchase at home is a Sterns & Foster..love the bed but having a few problems Sleepys is swapping it out for us this Friday. The gentelman we have worked with has been top shelf all the way. We needed another king size mattress for our summer home and happened upon this Miralux Splender I think it is called..we were nervous as we did not know the brand but we liked the bed very much. Good price delivery very fast..this is Thursday..it is being delivered Saturday..3 hours away at that. But thought I would do some checking up on this brand and the negative msgs have me horrified at what to expect. I can only hope for the best.

Just an FYI...I don't think the comment about "having a good time with it" is interpreted the way other reviews are implieing. I seriously think the person just did not realize how it may sound..but seriously with all do respect why ridicul someone elses experience just because yours is bad? I don't necessarily think that these blogs are helpful when people seem to express so much violence and aggravation..it is a huge purchase for everyone but we are all at risk of having a bad experience..it can happen any where.

bought a Miralux mattress at Sleepys(Better known as sleezys)3 years ago. One side collaped. Sleepys sent someone out to check it out. They agreed it had collapsed but said it was my fault for many different reasons, none of which were EVER told to me by Sleepys. We did everything we were told to do and followed the written directions provide. Sleepy will do nothing! They told me it's between me and the Manufacturer. Sleepys is CRAP I will never buyanything from Sleezys again.

Wow I'm glad I didn't read about this mattress before I bought it or at least before it was delivered , but today my mattress arrived the only problem was that the delivery guys didn't call until they got to my house not an hour before, anyhow I couldn't wait to sleep on it for its been highly antcipated so I put my cover and sheets on (got 2 sets) new plush queen pillows with covers too all included in the $1100 price including delivery! Queen Miralux Rapture PT by the way, and took the longest 20 minute nap ever I "was having a good time" ;), if every sleep on this mattress is this good in the years and months to come I'll stay in love because this is the best thing I've ever slept on! When we were shopping I tried everything from sealy on including memory foam mattresses this one just felt right for my fiance and I, I just wanted to say bad reviews are scary but every consumer product has its share our salesman Mark who was very knowledgable about all brands didn't have to push us into getting this in my opinon, good buy these folks writing bad reviews are just a small handful of the negative people who can't wait to post something bad its actually pretty cool to go on a blog site and find people who write when they acually enjoy something. I forgot to add that it felt no different than the one in the store and as with anything we buy there is a reasonable 'break in' period to be expected a friend of mine just bought a 2010 toyota tundra motor trends truck of the year and doesn't like it now because its uncomfortable him, I guess it comes down to everythings not for everyone
Happy shopping test out everything you can and then make your choice! And seeing that they offer such long warrenties mattress like cars and homes are a long term investment so you need to find what's works for you and even still your going to find it will never stay perfect, well that's just my take.

Last week I bought a King-size Miralux (pillow-top)....after reading these reviews, I am a little concerned...but, I LOVE THIS BED!!! My back hasn't felt this good in years, even my German Shep (yes, he's already on it) won't budge till morning. I paid $1400 total (includes tax, s/h, removal of old), which was more than I wanted to pay, but already it is worth EVERY cent. I wake up well-rested and pleasant/happy each morning- so is there a true cost?

Sleepy's is horrible but they've really cornered the market.

Also, note, I'm another person with back issues who likes/loves Miralux.

This company makes a mattress that is a sagging mess. Purchased 11/09 and unusable 4/10. Miralux sent a rep out to inspect and he took photos only. He did not check the mattress or ask any questions to verfiy our complaint. A letter was sent to us dening any fault of the product. The Miralux legacy should not be considered FOR ANY PRICE INCLUDING FREE. The only warranty is that it will cause back pain.

Should have done more research. I received my Miralux mattress from Sleepy's on Wednesday June 3rd 2010, and called them the very next morning. My back has never ached me as much as when I slept on this pitiful excuse for a bed. I agree with a few comments I've read here and on other blogs.....The Miralux feels great in the store, but not so great at home. I think the unit in the store is made to a higher standard and that the actual production model is of much lower quality. The salesman first pitched the sleep-to-live brand which was over my budget, and then headed straight over to the Miralux brand. He never once took me to the Sealy side of the store, which I thought to be odd. I ended up buying the miralux, and although it's only been a week, have been regretting it ever since. I will probably try to get another bed, S&F most likely, as I tried it out in the store and it was firm enough, and I'm pretty much stuck because I can't get a refund. I also know they are of higher build quality, so the chance of it being a lemon is less.....buyer beware!! I should have researched this bed first. Do not expect salesmen to be ethical.

I'm just wondering if everyone is complaining about the pillowtop one or if they are complaining about the splendor plush??? I was looking at them in store tonight & am thinking about the plush floor model that they are selling for an extremely reasonable price. So I'm hoping that if we did go for the plush and not pillow-top that maybe it won't sag & be as bad as everyone makes it out to be??? any thoughts?

It seems like most of these bad reviews are about Sleepy's... We bought our Miralux Elite from Sit 'n Sleep and received excellent customer service from Yvonne in the Laguna store, we have had our mattress for a month now and could not be happier! Take that nay-sayers!!!

Next month I will have finished paying off, via Sleepy's, my Rapture Pillow Top. I bought it in January of 2008.

I wasn't pressured into this brand, but went a little over my budget because my back deserved it.

I live alone and weigh 150 pounds.

I can't figure out why it would be sagging to such a degree. I know the company would say I'm not within their range for it to be replaced, but I'm so concerned that I will give it a year more, tops, and send it out with the trash.

I don't make nearly enough money to spend $300.00 a year on mattress continuously, and don't feel I should.

I did flip it over and we'll see what 24 hours of that will do. At one point I was going to put a massive piece of furniture on it for a day to see if I could "reformat" the damn thing.

I think the blasted thing is giving me RLS!!!!

My next mattress will be a bed of nails to spite myself.

Don't purchase one! The most uncomfortable mattress ever slept on...if you can sleep. I wake up tired and sore daily logging many more hours of "sleep" than I traditional have needed with a decrease in activity.mattress sinks quickly and is not comfortable eve with a down top. Any bargain is too much to spend on this brand. Saving to replace with a sleep by number to ensure I get it right the next time.

We purchased a Miralux Mattress from Mattress and More in Louisville Kentucky. The first one we got from the company was 5 inches shorter than my bed. We measure the mattress and it was not a standard queen mattress. The second one they sent out had a tear in it and the seems were poorly sewed. The third one they sent out we kept. We sleep on it for 2 weeks and start to notice big holes where we slept at. We got backaches and not much sleep. We tried to call Mattress and More and they have so much paper work to fill out to see if they would replace it. They did not replace it. BUYER BEWARE you have been warned. I would not buy another mattress from Mattress and More in Louisville and I am sure a Miralux mattress will never be on my bed again. They got me for 1200 they will not get me again

Bought this "bed" 2 yrs ago and it is a pure nightmare, my husbands side is 4 inches sunken in and we turned the mattress every few months as told and he's not fat for the mattress to sink the way it is, horrible!!!!
My back issues have gotten worse, sometimes I wake up and my whole body is sore feels like i've been beaten in my sleep. We paid $2grand for the mattress at sleezy's, the bed is irregular as well because my extra deep pocket fitted sheets don't cover the bed fully, it's not a normal size king bed that we thought we purchased, I have wasted money on sheets and this mattress and i'm quite pissed about it, i'm actually thinking of contacting a law firm and getting a class action lawsuit started for other victims of this bed!
If your reading this review DON'T BUY THIS MATTRESS!!!! stick with the name brand mattresses that have been around forever and not a brand that uses the pharse "we have been in the market privately not mainstream" they haven't been in the market mainstream because they suck!!!!!!!!!
Now I have to buy another mattress.
Oh and the mattress and boxsprings don't measure up corner to corner the mattress falls short 2inches just a pure nightmare, Miralux sold people lemons!

I've had a queen size Miralux La Fontaine for 10 years and I still love it! I found this review because after all this time we're ready to upgrade to a king, and we want the same mattress. It was on sale for $1400 and back then I was reluctant to spend the money. Boy, am I glad I did!

Not only do we love this mattress (so much so that we've put off buying a king), but guests who've slept on it frequently comment on its comfort. My sister even calls it her "death bed," because "it feels like you died and went to heaven in your sleep."

I understand that a lot of people aren't happy with their mattresses. However I totally agree with the commenter who said that negative comments far outnumber positive ones. I know I am much quicker to write a letter or review if I get bad service/product than if I get a good product.

I also notice that a preponderance of commenters purchased their mattresses at a place called Sleepy's. Makes me wonder...if you look across brands at customer satisfaction, might there be more complaints from customers who purchased at certain retailers?

Finally, I'll add that after 10 years, my no-flip mattress does not sag, even carrying two overweight, bad-backed sleepers. I think it's more a matter of finding the right bed for you.

Well I don't even know where to start i bought a mirlux olympus cal king mattress set about two years ago, after about six mouths of sleeping on it we noticed that when we wake up in the morning it was like sleeping in a hole and also started having backaches. so we called customer service. they said that they have a sub-contractor come out and inspect the mattress. so it took about a week before they came out to inspect. then it took about two weeks for them to come up with a report, which they declined warranty of the mattress. they said it was within the one and a half inch body impression, which was hard to believe. oh and the way they test it is with a string and a plexyglass gauge, what a joke if you ask me, so they declined it, ok, so slept on it somemore still same problems, about two months went by. so we called again they came and inspected. I never recieved a report, I had to call them for the report which they declined because they said a wheel on the bed frame was broke. the only thing was i don't remember the wheel being broke prior to the inspector being there. So after that i called international bedding and called to the warranty administrator, to make it short i got nowhere with him, i called everyday at 8:15 am in the morning for two weeks solid still no answer. So then i tried to talk to his manager left several messages never got a return phone call. so we stopped sleeping on the bed and are now sleeping in our guest room on a 10 years old queen size beautyrest, and i can say i sleep better on that old thing better than the miralux set. well anyways very unhappy that i ever purchesed this product. they are coming out agian to inspect this coming week thay will probaly some other excuse why they won't cover it now. thanks for readding will post results later thanks

My name is Chris Nastally. I live in Newport, MI. email is: cwn7499@yahoo.com.

My wife and I bought the Miralux Atlantis Luxury King set in October of 2008. 6 months later my wife started complaining of severe back pains and tingling all over. She blamed her chiropractor and switched. At the 8 month mark I began experiencing terrible back pain. Prior to purchasing this mattress I visited the chiropractor 3 times a year at most over the last 10 years. Since I have visited as much as 3 times in 1 week. There are visible indentations where we sleep with a hump in the middle where we do not. Some mornings I can barely crawl out of bed. We have contacted the place where we purchased the mattress from "The Warehouse Sleep Shop" in Monroe, Michigan. If they do not make this right, I will be contacting the better business bureau regarding the matress company and the sleep shop. This bed is a joke. Regardless we will be throwing this bed out very shortly and going with a name brand we can trust.

Ironically we wanted to buy a name brand when going to this "sleep shop," but were talked out of it by the salesman who convinced us that Miralux was comparable to a Simmons or Serta but they didn't advertise so they could sell the 'same' mattress for far less. We like fools took the salesman at his word. The first bed was delivered with a tear and replaced by the sleep shop. The first or second bed didn't feel like it felt in the show room. I thought well that was a different setting, it is a good mattress, right? Around the six month mark my wife began to complain. At the 8 month mark I started to complain about back aches. At the 1 year mark I said to my wife "maybe it's our bed." She said "I've been thinking the same thing, but didn't want to say it." We are at the 2 year mark now and right after I get out of the bet it has a 2-3" sink hole. I'm 6' tall and 200lbs. I'm not over weight. I had a Simmons for 5 years and it looks brand new. So to say I'm over weight doesn't hold up with another brand. All I want is some sort of pro-rated refund. Then I will take my money and go elsewhere. I will never buy a miralux again, what a joke. If you want to discuss, please email me. I'm a real person.

We (my husband and I, age 30 and 31) loved our Miralux Rapture x-firm queen mattress for the first two months or so, but now I'm sorry to say that our once comfortable mattress will give me a backache within 5 minutes of laying on it, and is almost not worth sleeping on for the pain it causes by morning. I'd never had lower back problems before, but boy do I now. We are rotating it and flipping it to try to find the 'good' parts that are still like new, but this is just a temporary solution, and we're already looking to replace it. We started sleeping on it on Sept 1 and it is now Dec. 21 - it only took 2.5 to 3 months for the foam to break down. By comparison, we slept on a loaner Tempur-pedic for two years prior to this and loved it (and thus were trying to get a similar product for less money when it came to paying for it ourselves). I am confident in saying that it's worth it to spend the money on the Tempur-pedic. I feel foolish to have tried to save a few hundred dollars by getting a cheaper model, and now having to deal with the hassle of fighting warranties and replacing it, etc., and probably losing $1100 (the cost of this mattress), as I doubt we'll get our money back.

We bought a King Sized Miralux Matterss and found that it sags on both sides(my side more since I weigh more than my wife). We called Sleepys and they sent a home inspector. After taking pictures he noted that it sags1-1/4" on my wife side and 1-5/8" inch on my side. Sleepys will credit you if it is over 1-1/2" which we qualify. After 1 week we received a credit for $1800 plus tax. On another note: make sure you BUY the SAME box spring and mattress or you warranty is useless. We are not going to buy a new Miralux today.

My husband and I bought the Miralux Rapture queen mattress and box spring set at Sleepy's alittle over 2 years ago. I will admit, i am not one to leave a comment on products ive used but I MUST say something about this mattress. It is the absolute worst nights sleep ever! I am shocked at how many people feel the same about this product. I wish i had done my research before making the purchase, unfortunately we are out the $2000 we paid. It truly does sag, and turning the mattress every 3 months has not helped. I also had to add a memory foam topper just to help ease the back pain I was experiencing.

I purchased The Miralux Syphony PLush Mattress in November of 2010 and It is now sagging in the middle. Very unhappy with this product. The salesman at sleepys was very nice and got us what i though was a bargin, Guess I know why now. It is a piece of crap. That is $600 out the window. We also got talked into the $140 mattress protector. Highly disapoointed. Will not buy another one of these that is for sure.

8 Months ago I bought a miralux from sit & sleep. Within the first 2 months the pillow top was pulling in on one of the sides leaving me a 3 inch loss in width. There is also a large twisting bulge on the other side. On inspection coverage for the defect was declines. I WOULD NOT EVER PURCHASE A MIRALUX OR GO TO SIT & SLEEP.
NEVER......

I got talked into buying this mattress by a very high pressured salesman. After a year it started sagging in the middle, I tried to turn the mattress over but it could not be done like most mattresses do. The following year it sagged so much i felt the stork was lifting me up in the bag.
I contacted Sleepy's and they found the mattress to be defective. I was given a credit for replacement. I don't think i will buy a Miralux again. The full size cost me $1000.00

I bought a miralux bed from Sit and sleep. My wife and I have incredible.... never felt before backpain and simply a horrible night's sleep since. We are launching a class action lawsuit. Hopefully you will all keep blogging. Maybe one day you'll get your money back.

ALL the people who say good things about this mattress are salesmen trying to off set the bad comments..... FACT. I am calling my lawyer today!!!!

Please don't make the same mistake I did with a Miralux. Stick with the well known brand names & not the international ones. Research & review other people's comments before deciding to purchase your next mattress.

Never would I ever buy a miralux or buy from sleepy's again I wish I could post a picture of my bed with the two huge sags in the middle of each side (it is a King and cost us a king's ransom) but when the mattress police came over to see if my bed would be covered under warranty, even she made a comment about how bad the impressions were, because they were 1 and a quarter inch and not 1 and a half inch dips we did not get our mattress covered!! Ok seriously? How about when you have a person lying on the bed how about that is when you take a measurement??? So the person from sleepy's said I could get 200 dollars towards my next box spring but not my mattress and that I could have this mattress checked again in 6 months, I was like 6 months?? I am getting rid of this stinker now and never going to Sleepys again!!!!

I purchased a Full Size Miralux Plush mattress from Godby. The mattress is junk. I have slept on it for 26 nights and I already have a 2" sinkhole in the center of the mattress. We have filed a complaint with Godby and they will not refund my money. It was been less then a month..... HELLO the mattress is CRAP. Plus, I will never buy from Godby again. I warn you to never buy a Miralux or shop at Godby.

Hi Rebekah,

I'm sorry to hear about your bad experience. I have to say that I'm surprised your mattress sagged whole 2" in such a short time. Would you care to send us a picture? We would like to see that or even maybe put it on our site, if you agree.

Thanks for stopping by and commenting,
Cathy

Went to Sleepys May 2008 - Sales person asked me to laydown on the Miralux Splendor - it was wonderful. The price was over $1000. It was Memorial day Weekend, and he said he would put in a bunch of discounts because we owned a business in town, in the end I got the mattress for $349.00 plus a 10yr warranty. USELESS. 3 1/2 yrs later, and 1 yr of lower back pain for me (210lbs) and my husband (155lbs) and severe migraines for both of us - the doctors have indicated its the bed. The mattress has sink-ins. The funny thing - I just called sleepys to get information on my "warranty" and the salesperson said "you don't have any because it was a clearance item" It definitely was NOT on clearance, and I have the warranty papers. Great SalesPersons.. should win salesman of the year award! The Miralux is good for the first 6-10 months, after that its downhill. I now have to reinvest more money into a mattress while other persons I know have the same mattresses for 10+ yrs - Lesson of the day: Don't penny pinch on items that are for your health. Spend more money on a quality mattress and avoid sales gimmicks and "employee discounts".

I purchased the Miralex Maestro about a year and a half ago. This is the BEST mattress! The price was within reason, the cushion firm pillow top keeps the mattress firm without making it feel like sleeping on a wooden board. The first night I slept on this mattress I woke up in the morning feeling refreshed from a great night sleep. A year and a half later, I'm still waking up with the same feeling.

We were told by Sleepy's the pillowtop Miralux Rapture would be perfect for a king platform bed. Previously had a sleep comfort- was like sleeping on a balloon. We wanted a really good one for back issues so we got it). It felt great in the store!
Well it was great the first few months but then it started to sag on both sides. Tried rotating it and again it worked for a month or less. Then tried putting the box springs under it even if it looked terrible. Right now it is flipped so the pillowtop is on the bottom(sad to resort to doing that). It was so promising, but what a waste of money. Now neither one of can sleep well. Don't wast your money.
Going back to a Simmons that we had years ago and should have stuck with.

I BOUGHT A MIRALUX MATTRESS 2 YEARS AGO. I WISH I HAD CONTACTED THE STORE THAT I BOUGHT IT FROM BEFORE THE WARRANTY RAN OUT BUT I WAS TOLD BY THE STORE ( SIT N SLEEP) THAT MIRALUX HAS GONE OUT OF BUSINESS SO THEY COULDNT HAVE HONORED THE WARRANTY. IT'S AN AWFUL MATTRESS. I HAD GONE THROUGH A DIVORCE & BUYING A NEW MATTRESS WAS HARD FOR ME TO DO TO BEGIN WITH. I TOLD THE SALESPERSON I WANTED A FIRM MATTRESS. IT STARTED TO SINK & I NOW WAKE WITH LOWER BACK PAIN. THE STORE HAS OFFERED ME 60% OFF ON ANOTHER MATTRESS BUT UNLESS THEY SELL A GOOD BRAND NAME I WILL BE DUMPING THE MIRALUX & GOING TO ANOTHER STORE!!!

I purchased my mattressand boxspring from Mattress and More in 2010. I had a young salesman there tell me it was the mattress he recommended his own mother! Well, I guess his mother hasn't had a good night's sleep either. I wish I had kept my Stearns and Foster firm mattress. I haven't had a good night's sleep since they hauled it away!

I've had a Miralux Rave II mattress that I purchased from Sleepy's last summer. The mattress is fine and in perfect shape. I'm single and prefer the right side, so I rotate it once a month or so. I'm 6'4" and 215 pounds and not a millimeter of sag or indentation. I had a very high priced Sealy mattress the year before that "tacoed" in the middle after just a few months. Needless to say, I was apprehensive about spending a lot of money on yet another mattress after such a short period of time. I've been very happy with my Miralux replacement over the past year.

I purchased the King size Miralux Elite Gold and I love it. I've had it for 2yrs now no indentation or sagging like many have mentioned. When I was married when I bought it, my ex was 6'4 300lbs and I'm 5' and overweight. We loved our new mattresses because he had back problems. I just moved around alot. This new mattress, I stay on my side and sleep so comfortable. Now that we are not together I made sure I kept the mattresses while he ended up with the bed frame. Everyone loves my bed. I get a lot of compliments and my kids have all slept in my bed because its the most comfy bed.
I definitely do rotate my bed every 3mths or so. And I keep a mattress protector on it.
I purchased mines from Sit n Sleep at $2000 and would buy it again.
My bf now always asks me if its a memory bed but I don't remember what the salesman told us. That is why I'm on here to see what is their material. I can't believe there is so many bad reviews but to each their own. Everyone is unique in what they prefer. Thats why I'm writing my satisfied review. It's very soft and cozy. Like I said I used to move around like crazy and now I stay on my side with no aches. Very happy customer.

I have a Miralux Le Mans Cal King an it has been a wonderful bed for over 14 years. It has begun to show wear, but I turn it often and the dents disappear after I turn it. I'm finally looking to dish out the $$$$$ on a new mattress and will say that the "old" Miralux was worth while. Divide $2700 by 14years of great sleep and fun. And it's worth it. Finding the right bed is more than just lying on one for a few minutes. The bed and your body have to adjust. The gamble is what if they dont get along? I guess you need to knwo your body and your partners. I need a very firm mattress with some cushion. My weight sinks my body through the fluff to the firm part and my wife floats on the fluffy, so we both are good. BIG question is can i find a comparable bed? Any my Miralux has been, because I did my homework. The Miralux Le Mans is still great after 14yrs for a good nights sleep and my kids think its a trampoline because it is still almost good as new.

I have had my miralux for almost 5 years. At first I thought I made a horrible crazy expensive purchase but I LOVE my mattess now. Thedifference was in the box spring. When I first purchased my bed I was using an ikea platform bed. It began to have visible sagging, not horrible but noticeable to me and I was angry, the mattress cost me 2700 !! I had the tech come evaluate it for warranty and they determined it wasn't "enough" sagging to deem replaceable. I went back to sleepys a year later still complaining of indents on my side of the bed (I lived alone) and horrible back pain. They recommended to get rid of the platform bed and get a box spring which would offer more support. It was true!! Within a few weeks I noticed a huge difference with my back ache! It as gone! As far as the indents I just rotated my mattress every few months and have no complaints, I really love my bed. The level comfort is gonna vary for everyone just as with any othe mattress. I think the support the box spring offers compared to a platform bed is what made the difference for me. I don't regret my purchase anymore and would def. Purchase a miralux.

We bought a Miralux and it has sagged badly after only four years. Now I can't find the Miralux company or the IBC which supposedly makes them. They must be out of business and I'm out $2660 for a piece of junk mattress!

I feel your pain. I had mine for 5 years and I've been suffering terrible back pain :( I paid around $1700 for mine. I'm checking out the Bob O Pedic today. Thank goodness the mattress from hell company went out of business!

I've had a Miralux King size (Imperial Collection- Lombardi) for about 10 yrs, got it at Sit and Sleep. It was around 1900. I have no complaints, in fact I bought an exact model for my guest room. I dont know what the mattress is made of, but it has been very comfortable, a very natural supportive feel, yet plush. I've been looking for the same model now in 2014 for my daughter's room but havent been able to find anything as comfortable...which is how I found this blog after searching online. The Sit and Sleep salesman had me try the Heavenly Bed (Westin Hotel model) which was soft, but didn't feel supportive to me.

Mattress shopping is the worst task EVER.

I have had my Anniversary addition for 3 years. It is a Latex foam rubber top mattress. I HIGHLY recommend this unit. I have degerative disks in my lower back and this mattress gives me great support and great nights sleep. Although very costly, it is very well worth it. For the first time in years I wake without stiffness or lower back pain..
I highly recommend this unit to anyone! If cost is a factor (which why would it not be? lol) scout around at discount mattress stores like I did. I got this $2300 unit for $625.. Took a while to locate because I did find it for $1700 - $2300 other places but it was $ worth the wait..

I've read your comments and Jims. I agree with there being a lack of positive reviews since people are less likely to if they are happy. My only issue with basing my decision to purchase a particular brand of mattress would not be very logical from reviews that specifically state their disappointment with the store they purchased from more than the actual mattress itself. Also there is some concern with someone that never had back pain but now that they have a new bed they do. It's possible that their spine has been accommodated by a soft older mattress and now that they have a new firmer mattress they are going to have some slight discomfort. Just saying there are more reasons to explain back pain than just the mattress brand. It's a very odd situation picking out a new bed especially since you don't actually get the mattress that you laid on but a new one all together. Just things to consider.
