We are all looking for a comfortable mattress, and this is the priority. After that, we ask durability and affordable price. Englander mattress has comfortability and price, but still doesn't have the durability. There are some more tricks people from Englander have to learn to create a mattress that will last more then 1 or 2 years.
The stylish mattresses are great for relaxing sleep and the natural rubber gives the right amount of firmness. You won't have muscle aches with Englander mattress and the tossing and turning will definitely be reduced. The pressure on your body is reduced because Englander mattress adjusts to the body and wraps it for full comfort. When it comes to comfort, you won't go wrong with this company.
For example, Englander Stylex mattress gives an optimum surface comfort due to great resiliency of the inner core. If you have a problem with your back, this mattress will fix you a bit since it helps with proper spinal alignment. The material Englander Stylex is providing just enough room for air to come through and cool your body. There is nothing worst then a hot mattress, and Englander knows that. This is one of their products that is worth of purchasing.
If you browse through the web a bit, you will notice that Englander has gained a reputation for their mattresses. And more then one magazine gave a good review of their products. This makes them a well known company that has a lot to offer for anyone who wishes ti enjoy in a good mattress.
But Englander mattress reviews also speak about the problem I mentioned before. There is a problem with durability, so there are some consumers who complain about their mattress going way down in firmness, which influences the comfortability. These news are not really great because nobody wants to change a mattress after just 6 or 12 months.
I want to say that you have plenty of options to consider when looking for a good Englander mattress. In case you want a firm surface to sleep on, that's easy to find. And if sinking into comfortable mattress is what you want, then 21st Century Sleep System Englander mattress could be your choice.
It's important to have a good and revitalizing sleep. And Englander mattresses will give you that. But according to Englander mattress reviews, this may last shorter then you hoped for. So be aware that these mattresses have quality and comfort, but their durability is questionable.

I have a 12 year old Englander queen size firm mattress and box spring. I am just now replacing it, only because I want a king size. I am replacing it with another Englander. My experience has been very positive with Englander that's why I'm staying with them.
Hey Paul, I'm glad to hear you are satisfied with your Englander mattress. There are many people who can't believe that a cheap mattress is a good choice too, so they go with Serta or Simmons.
I believe that 12 years is quite an achievement. Thanks for the comment Paul
Cathy
The mattress that is too soft will not be durable as it is the most difficult part in making it. And if we want it cheap then it'll become worst. What Englander need to do is to find a balance quality and price so that consistency be achieved.
I bought an Englander about 20 months ago and it has been a miserable time of it. Not to mention I feel that I might as well have flushed my $1200. It quickly developed body shaped indentions where we sleep, and I can't roll over without lifting myself from the hole. Not to mention that leaves a big hump in the middle. I am taking the loss and buying a new mattress this month.
Hi sidhebear,
Can you tell us what model did you bought? I ask this so other people would avoid it or at least consider it more thoroughly when buying a new mattress.
Thanks for your input,
Cathy
I'm with sidhebear, I've had my Englander for about 2 and half years and it's now really not well to sleep on. It has gotten too soft and is causing aches. It's generally fine if I'm sleeping on it alone, the frequency of which will increase until I change it soon - my girlfriend is on the verge of flat out refusing to spend the night on in.
I tried to contact them for a warranty because there is noticeable sag and it's causing sleep issues. I'm only 29, very active and weight in at about 145lbs. If I was heavier I could understand sagging.
We purchased our Englander 2 years ago and we love it. I am 6'3" and right at 300 pounds and this mattress is tremendous. My side is firm and my wife's soft and it works perfectly.
I bought my Englander mattress the 1st week in January, 2009. I need a very very firm mattress for my back. I don't know which style I purchased but was told that it was the firmest mattress that Englander sold. The first week was great! However, I am now trying to stay out of the dip in the middle of the mattress by sleeping on the sides of my mattress and putting a pillow behind my back to keep from falling in the "hole." It's only been 3 months - I have had it with this mattress. I am going back to the store with my complaints this weekend. I plan to go back to the firm Seely mattress...
I am sleeping on an Englander my parents bought in 1968. Granted, it's past it's prime, but I'm not fussy. Mother is, and she use it until 9 years ago when she remarried and wanted new.
Mother and my sister swear by the brand and I find these comments helpful. I am close to 300 pounds and will probably go for a Sealy Posturepedic.
In 1978 we bought our first queen size Englander. It lasted 20 years! I though my husband would cry when they took it away. I bought a second one in 1998 and I am now ready to buy another. We now need a king size. Not sure which one to buy. Any input would be great.
Hi Chris,
I can't recommend you a model since I do not know what level of firmness you would like. It's best if you consult with a salesman on this, since he will know what kind of firmness level your previous Englander mattress had. And than you will have a lot of choices when it comes to queen size beds.
the first week i purch this mattress it has only been trouble. i have a deep that i just keep rolling into and they call it body impression. i call it junk and i hope nobodyelse buy Englander matttress, they do nothing to help make you satisfied. waste my money. do not buy Englander Mattress
I have an ASPEN that started humps and dips before a year old. I should have returned it but there is so little time in life to run around chasing warranties and new beds. Not good for the love life. I'm 110 lbs and my husband is 185. Getting a new bed delivered today.
I bought an Englander mattress in January 2008, and by June 2008, it had a huge dip in the middle. Perhaps at one time they may have made decent mattresses but not anymore. I will never purchase an Englander again.
I'm finding these reviews very helpful. You won't believe this but I'm "returning" my Englander mattress even BEFORE having slept on it! We paid for a mattress almost three weeks ago and it still hasn't arrived. Keep getting phone calls from the store telling us the factory isn't able to deliver on time (3 calls so far!) What bad service and we're frankly fed up. Spoke w/store that sells Seely and Simmons and they can deliver it ONE day after ordering! Shoulda gone with those brands in the first place (all cost the same).
I just bought an American Spirit 100 full size bed at Mattress Brothers in Redlands, Ca.,...my new bed is firm and seems good so far after the first night hehehe, so I will let everyone know how it is i 3 months or so from now....good luck!!!....Brent
I made the mistake of buying an Englander from the Mattress Barn. It felt great in the showroom, but within about 8 months I was "bottoming out" as the spring unit seems to have completely collapsed. The Warranty wouldn't cover it, because the mattress was indented over 3 and half inches. Who could sleep on a bed that was that deep? Mine was 2 inches indented and they called that "normal body impression" The Barn said, "It's a problem for the manufacturor." So I am out of luck. I won't even put this in my guest room. I a throwing this away and it isn't even a year old!!! Don't get suckered into this cheap piece of crap!!!! I spent over 1000 on what is now just garbage.
I purchased an Englander for my daughter as a wedding gift. The salesman assured us that it was "just as good" as Simmons, and would just save money. It felt great in the store, but my daughter has only been home from her honeymoon for about 4 months, and the bed already has a huge "butt hole". They are not big people, but the mattress has completely collapsed under thier hips. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BRAND!
When I bought my first real bed, I went to mattress barn and was surprised by the prices. The sales guy offered me an englander to try and save some money. He swore it was as good as the beautyrest I really liked. So I bought it, but now it is not even 1 year old, and I have a deep valley in the center of my bed. I am so pissed I wasted my money, and now I have to turn around and buy another bed. You can bet it won't be an englander!
I have been in the mattress industry for over 17 years, and after reading most of the posts, the problems are not the mattresses, but the expectations that were "sold" to the customer in the retail store. All beds have body impressions. Kings ridge, and most queens sag towards the middle. This is due to the large amounts of upholstery put on top of the springs. Upholstery used to be button tufted, but now only has that appearance, which leaves you, the consumer to do all of the compaction of material. No brand is better than the other. Pick a premium model with the least amount of padding to make it comfortable, expect to replace it in 6-7 years and be happy. That should be the real expectation.
We purchased an expensive Englander matress from Matress Warehouse in Flint Michigan in 2005. It was good for the first 2 1/2 years but now the Memory Foam has no memory and it has formed a deep hole on each of the sides we sleep on. It came with a 15 year warranty and when we attempted to redeem the warranty, we were met with very harsh and nasty resistance from the guy who sold it to us. He lied to our face and told us that mattresses sag and if there is any kind of stain then the warranty is void. He did not tell us that at the time of sale because in his own words "If I told that to people, they would never purchase it" We contacted Englander and they said we had to have the receipt and if we did not have it, we should be able to get it from the retailer. So, we tried that and the liar told us that they were destroyed in a fire - BS. THE WARRANTIES ON ENGLANDER MATTRESSES ARE DISHONEST AND MISLEADING AND THE RETAIL OUTLETS WHO SELL THEM ARE SCAM ARTISTS. Never buy an Englander Matress!
I bought a Queen Englander Kashmire ET about 2 years ago. The warranty guys just left and they measured a 1 1/4 dip in the center of the bed. This is causing me severe back pain. After reading all the reviews about other dipping problems I plan to stay away from this brand. HOPEFULLY, my warranty claim will be approved.
From the review everyone is seems to be complaining about the 21st Century - Foam and Inner -springs and Tension Ease model. Has anyone heard anything about their Natures's Finest - Latex model?
as an employe of englander and owning a bed of theres its the best thing ever
PLEASE AVOID THAT MATTRESS AND THAT COMPANY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
We bought a mattress from Mancini Sleepworld in Fairfield CA. After about a month, the matress (not an Englander) begun to sag on one side. We called the store and they sent a technichian to inspect it--the technichian indicated that the mattress was defective, and we got to pick a new one.
We chose an Englander based on the recomendation of the shyster in the store.
This mattress is AWFUL. It feels like there is a mountain in the middle, and I feel like I am about to fall from the bed.
My understanding that Englander will play tough in replacing it. NO WORRY. I plan on suing both Englander and Mencini for selling defective products, especially since I see that many other people are suffering with similar problems
I have read several of these Blogs about Englander mattreses. I have sold the product for ove 20 years, there are many comments that are repetitive and should have no bearing on your descision making. The way to purchase is to forget the brand name of the mattress and pick the one that is most comfortable to you,and you partner.
laying on the bed in the position you sleep in most is the best way to tell the level of comfort you like and the suppor of the bed should keep you body parallel across the top of the bed. This is a bsic way to get an idea on what support and comfort your body responds to. From there any reputable salesperson should direct you to the right fit.
Alot odf these blogs do not hold water to the quality all major manufacturers put into thier beds
Tom
This may be a mean question to ask, but for those who have had problems with the Englander? How heavy are you?
My boyfriend I just purchased our first Englander Queen and are concerned by these reviews. But something the salesgirl mentioned to me was that most problems with beds occur for larger people and that if you're larger, you're better off getting a bed that has individually coiled springs.
We aren't large people by any means, he's 6'2 buck50 and I'm 5'1 buck8. So I'm curious how the smaller people have faired in regards to the quality of their bed?
I have an Englander mattress that I've had for 10 years. Lately it has developed a very musty odor. I have never eaten or drank in bed and I don't own a pet. For the past 2 years it had dips in the center and my back is starting to feel it. I am small, 100 pounds. So now I am looking into buying a new mattress. I will be buying a different brand, I want it to last longer than 10 years. I still don't know why it has developed a musty odor. I tried everything, I can't get the odor out.
Anyone purchase a viscopedic or synergy model? Looking for your comments.
Donna
Donna,
we purchased the synergy matress and after 3 years we are not happy with it. it has dips on both sides and a hill int he middle. We just had the retail store over today and was told there wasn't nothing that they could do for us. he informed me to call him back when the dips are 2" deep. My advice is to stay away from the englander brand all together. when we purchased ours we were not informed about the 2" indent. so i'm not a happy camper now. so good luck on your purchase
My Store has been selling Englander products for over 3 years now, and I can't believe that there are really this many complaints, I wonder if some upset customer is not posting multiple times. Englander is a MUCH better product than say Serta. If you guys get a chance take a look at the spring Serta uses & then look at the spring Englander uses, you can judge for yourself. We build mattresses at our store & we know that the Englander brand is ACES, any time that we have had customers call in with warranty issues thay have been resolved resulting in a happy customer. I might add that in the 3+ years we have been selling Englander I have maybe had 10 calls about warranty concerns, I am just not understanding what these people posting are talking about sure problems can & will happen but to have this many people post on this web site I'm not buying it. Check out the comments on the Sealy, Serta & Simmons Reviews.
I have an Englander, I think I paid about $1,200 for it, but I've had it for about 7 years. Only because it was SO expensive and I saved for a LONG time to buy it have I not replaced it before now. Soon after I bought it I noticed it was uneven. However, for years I actually thought it was my bed frame. I hiked up my bed with my son's wooden blocks under one foot or another trying to get it even. Nothing worked. I finally realized it was actually the matrress, not the bed, that was uneven. The poor person who has to sleep on the side that is not usually slept on, ends up fighting all night to keep from rolling downhill. I've tried sleeping on both sides to keep it more evenly distributed, I've flipped the mattress, but there is really a huge sag right down the middle and nothing can fix it. When we moved, I saw just how big this sag was. It nearly folds in the middle it's so empty of anything to support it. For the last few years I have really noticed an increase in back pain when I wake up, there is just no more comfortable to be had from this mattress. I HATE it this mattress now. It was SOOOO lovely and high and cushioned, pillow topped even, when I bought it. Now, it's just junk. I am finally throwing in the towel and buying a new one from IKEA.
buyer beware. englander mattress is and has not been the quality product i thought i purchased. within 3mths it developed body indents and we had it replaced and guess what!!! it did it again. now we have up to six pillows under the mattress filling in the body indents until we can purchase another...NOT ANOTHER ENGLANDER! we spent over 2000.oo on that hunk of junk. and did i mention how heavy this no flip mattress is...it needs three good men to switch from top to bottom.
I suspect several of the complaints listed in this blog are fabrications paid for by competitors who can not match the quality, warranty, and price of Englander Mattresses.
As a mattress retailer I know personally that it is a fact that the product I sell, Englander, is second to NONE!
Sealy will never be sold in my store. Why you may ask? Because I was told by the Vice President in charge of sales, "you can not have Englander on your sales floor if you want Sealy because people will buy the Englander mattress and not our product!" (I have witnesses to this statement.)
A product is only as good as the people selling it. I will not deny that there is no such thing as perfection so problems can occur.
If a store is misleading a customer or if a store is not offering or honoring legitimate (key word here) warranty issues then it is the retailer who is at fault and not the factory product.
Most consumer complaints in the mattress industry are because of comfort issues. Bodies change with time or certain ailments come on with age which may change comfort preferences. It is a constant problem in this industry that people will blame the product in hopes of getting a warranty replacement so they do not have to buy another mattress.
Another point that I would like to make is that consumers are unaware that several companies franchise their name brand out to regional factorie for production of the name brand product. Englander has done the same.
My store receives its product from a plant in Rome, Georgia. I have been in business for 10 years and can personally state that the product I receive for retail selling is top notch to say the least.
So be sure to read between the lies ....I mean lines .... when selecting any product that you feel you need to have a reccomendation on, prior to purchasing it.
As an employee of an Englander manuf. plant, I find that 90% of comments on this page are people who are upset. Has anyone considered the amt of Englander mattresses sold vs the number of complaints? Ppl who are happy with their mattress normally don't come to websites such as this & post just how happy they are with the mattress.
ALL mattresses get body impressions in them. The foam materials in the mattress compress where you lie in the bed everynight. That is why you have to flip and/or turn your mattress (depending on the kind of matt you have bought). Mattresses at our facility have warranties between one year & 15 years.
I tell consumers to go to a retailer & pick 3 or 4 mattresses that they think are comfortable. Then lie on each one in the EXACT same position as you sleep at night & stay in that position for at least 15-20 minutes. During that time, the bed will mold around your body curature & you should be able to tell if it is for you.
Something that consumers fail to do is read warranty information. If consumers would do this, it would cut down on frustration & complaints. The warranty info specifically states terms & conditions. For instance, body impressions HAVE to be over 2". Stains on the mattress void your warranty. You must turn your mattress properly. You need proper support for your mattress and box spring (i.e., a proper frame or center support). Also, people expect a warranty procedure to happen overnight. Won't happen. There is paperwork to be completed, review by management. If approved for home inspection, they have to set up appts, send info back to the plant & the warranty mgr reviews it all. Sometimes consumers belive it is a defect when they are only dealing with a "comfort issue"! WE DO NOT WARRANTY COMFORT! You need to replace a mattress once you have had it between 5-10 years. I realize there are people who have had their mattresses for 12, 15, even 20 years. However, even the most durable bed wears out.
Our products are becoming more eco-friendly (organic covers, soy based foams, 100% natural latex, etc.). Our heavy gauge steel springs are the heaviest in the industry. There are many models, comfort levels,& prices to fit any budget.
Englander mattresses are priced fairly. You aren't paying for the name like other companies. You are paying for Englander quality. We do not nationally advertise because our products speak for themselves. We are the 2nd oldest national brand. If our products were as terrible as some of these comments say, how do you think we have been in business this long?
On a personal note, I have been with this company for almost 5 years. I own an Englander mattress. Before working here, I had several other brands of mattresses. Nothing has compared to this one. I have a Tension Ease. It has the belted quadracoils to prevent "motion transfer". Basically this means when I roll over, my husband doesn't feel it. My husband and I aren't small either. He is 6' and around 250 and I am 5'6" and around 170. Our bed holds up just fine. Impressions have nothing to do with size.
I hope this has been helpful.
MY WIFE AND I ARE VERY ANGRY OVER THIS MATTRESS ISSUE OF "ENGLANDER".
THE MATTRESS SAGGED AFTER 11DAYS WE USED,THIS IS ABSOLUTELY ABSURB. WE WERE MISREPRESENT BY THE MATTRESS LABELLED "MADE IN USA",IT SHOULD BE LABELLED AS "FULLY IMPORTED FROM USA",AND LABELLED "POCKETED SPRINGS",AFTER THE SAGGED,I CUT OPEN AND.......MY GOD, IS NOT "POCKETED SPRINGS" IS "CONTINUOUS SPRINGS SYSTEM".THEY ARE VERY DARING,MY GOODNESS,I WILL TELL THOSE PEOPLE I KNOW ABOUT THIS!
I wish I would have read these reviews prior to purchasing my ENGLANDER MATRESS. Mine was sagging after less than a week and it has only gotten worse. I was told by the salesperson that the sagging was a "body impression" I only weigh 185 pounds and I find this completely unacceptable. I am trying to tough it out for a full year before I bite the bullet and purchase another mattress.
We purchased a Velvet Touch Collection/Lady Englander Jewel about 10 or 12 years ago. We got it at a local contemporary hardwood funiture store in MA. We use it on a platform bed and turn it occasionally. It has been great all these years. Now, we want to get a Queen sized one for a new bed. But, because Englander does not advertise, it is hard to figure out where to get one and which model would be closest to the one we have and like very much. I really don't understand the many negative comments on this blog. My only complaint is that now that I've moved from MA I don't know where to get another one.
weejuo...I am the employee listed under anonymous...Let's just call me Tammy for names' sake...First of all, which bed did you buy? What state and city was it bought in? Are you sure it was the manufacturer that made the mistake or was it an accidental misrep by the store? You have to take into consideration all the facts...not just that it started sinking in 11 days...I have a pocketed coil mattress and it is wonderful...Let me know the above questions if you would please.
And to the anonymous writer of the August 13th comment, read my comment only a couple above yours. I work for Englander. I have worked for them for 4 1/2 years. No matter what lie salespeople tell you ALL MATTRESSES ARE GOING TO GET BODY IMPRESSIONS. It is hard for me to understand why people don't understand that. Its foam for goodness sakes! No foam on the face of the planet is going to stay forever. I am only 170 lbs and mine has impressions. LOL Actually it made mine a little more comfy...Like an old pair of shoes.
You should do research on the materials the beds are composed of before writing nasty things about a company you know nothign about! We pride ourselves on our work and ability to make a very large majority of our customers very satisfied and willing to return again!
To Mr. Milton...where have you moved to? I can find the appropriate information to help you locate the correct manufacturing plant in your area and they can hopefully get a very similiar product for you.
I just want to say that these "reviews" are basically USELESS because they don't even give the model name of the mattresses. I can't tell which model you are having problems with because you give no info.
PLEASE, people: Post the model name, but more importantly, post the number of the springs, and the guage of the springs or if it's a "Simmons" type individual coil or if it's a mostly-latex bed, etc.
Now: Most mattresses THESE DAYS will get body impressions quickly because almost ALL the manufacturers - certainly all the S brand ones - use cheap polyetheyline or PU foam. PU foam is cheap crummy foam and it gives no support after a few weeks or a few months.
To avoid this to some degree: Do NOT buy "Plush" brands, stick with the "Firm" or even "Extra Firm". Then, if you want it softer, add your OWN "topper" to it, that way you can replace the topper when it gets too soft and no longer provides any comfort. I highly recommend you use high quality toppers such as Sensus memory foam or Venus memory foam, or latex or Omalon. These are all quality foams that won't break down so quick and you can find good deals on them on the internet.
Now: For those of you who are unhappy with your mattresses, there is a cheaper solution - and really a better solution - than buying a new mattress:
Take an exacto type or very sharp knife and cut all around the edge of your mattress, or maybe just on 3 sides, then take off or open up the top so you can see inside. What you will see is a bunch of "batting" which is soft cloth or fibery material, then a bunch of foam on top of your springs.
Take out all that foam and throw it away. It's junk. It's why your back hurts.
Now (actually BEFORE you cut open your mattress) go out to a foam store or order via the net some quality foam in the size of your bed. I recommend buying 2" thick pieces. Buy one 2" 32-36ILD foam (ILD means how firm or soft it is and 32 is more or less "Medium") and then 1" of a softer foam, say 24-28ILD.
Put that foam on top of your springs to replace the crap you threw in the trash.
Put the top piece you cut off back on top and cover it with your sheet and no one will ever know you don't have an intact mattress just like you bought, except now it has high quality foam that won't hurt your back. And if it needs adjusting to be more comfortable to YOU, or if you need to replace it, well now that's an easy thing to do. If you have a queen or King you can even put different ILD's of foam on each side if your mate wants it firmer or softer than you.
As for mattress warranties, they are ALL basically B.S.! By the time it gets bad enough to warrant being replaced under warranty, it's going to have been killing you already for months. Forget it. Just cut it open and replace the foam!
And Englander is known for making very good springs, much better than Sealy or Simmons or Serta.
Hope this is helpful! Oh, and dont' forget, bloggers: TELL US THE model name and spring count/guage in your reviews, that's the only way we can buy or not buy your model!
This is our ssecond Englander mattress and it will most certainly be the last. The first one we bought sagged in the middle and you had to climb out the the hole to get out. The did take it back and we got a foam mattress and that is even worse. We've had it less than 2 years and I have had a backache since day one. I hate it. You can't turn over without climbing out of the hole you are in. I am telling everyone considering an Englaner these experiences with this brand. I really don't think you could find much worse.
Englander...I can say I am an expert on one of the Englander Models since I have slept on it going on 8 years! I still love my mattress...of course it was one of the expensive models...i think i paid close to $2000 8 years ago, but I am hoping it will last 5 or 6 more years, then, I gaurantee I will be buying another! Mine has a slight body impression but nothing that keeps me from sleeping, it actually feels like a little "hug" that fits the way I sleep perfectly...no problems changing positions or rolling over...Just a word of advise...don't buy the cheaper Englander, Sealy, Simmons, etc...most mattress companies make cheap to expensive models....just consider how important your sleep is to you and spend accordingly!
I have had an Englander TLC1000 for 10 months. Both sides are saging. My husband and I hate this matress. I will never buy another one. I am trying to get it replaced but after reading these comments; I am wondering if my warranty will be worth much. Any suggestions...
I purchased my englander in 2003, so it is about 6-7yrs. old. I still have not found a bed in any hotel or person's home to rival the comfort I have had all these years. And I have had my children and animals sleep in this bed. I have never had a problem with sagging or durablitity. I eventually want to go down from a king to a queen, so in a few years I will have to get a new one, however I will get another englander because of how well made the product has been. I never comment on any product unless it has made an impact. We only payed 750 for a king size pillow top mattress, that still is the most comfortable bed I have ever laid on. I will be sad to see it go.
One thing is for sure - these posts are so inconsistent that I can only assume that they are mostly written by employees of the mattress companies trying to slander each other. I agree with the person that commented on the fact that almost none of them mention the model of the mattress. This to me indicates that they were not valid reviews. Please take your riduculous antics elsewhere and let people use this blog for valuable objective information.

I know there are many people here who do not post their name and do not mention the mattress model at all. I urged them to not do that, but it doesn't help. And I don't have the means to verify every post people make here.
People who read these posts will just have to pick the ones that are making sense to them. I know how this sounds, but there is no other way around. If I want to block person's post, I may well be blocking a post from a real person, with real information. So I have to leave things open for all.

Englander is in fact a great mattress. I have been selling Englander for over 4 years now and had literally only serviced a handful of these things. Things you need to take in to consideration is are you taking the proper measures to ensure the life of your mattress? Here's the deal... If you have a double pillow top mattress you need to be flipping it over NO LATER than every 6 months. If you have a single pillow top bed or a memory foam bed you need to be spinning the mattress every 6 months. This will definitely increase the life of the bed and help prevent dips and sagging. Englander has been great with their warranty's and has been the only company i've ever dealt with that has actually warranted bed sagging. I'm not saying that they will do because almost all mattress companies will tell you that it's not a manufacturer defect. Since they have been the only one's to warranty this issue they are what I now sell the most of (and no I don't get commissions) which is pretty good. Saying your upset that a mattress company won't warranty your bed sagging is like saying your upset because you wrecked your new car and the dealership won't fix it for free. Almost every single customer I sold an Englander to 4 years ago is STILL happy with the bed. The ones that aren't, go figure, didn't do what we told them to, to help prevent these problems. I personally own 2 Englanders. One of which I purchased 6 years ago and a newer one i've had for about a year. Neither one has sagging in it at all. Sure the 6 year old one isn't as fluffy and new looking but you can't expect your new pair of shoes the you use EVERY DAY (like your mattress) to stay in perfect condition. I'm not saying Englander is the best bed in the world but it is one of the best. If you honestly want to help your bed and back then you need to get a bed frame that doesn't require a box spring to be used. This will help eliminate back problems and mattress wearing.
Four days ago, we bought an Englander King size mattress( Quinalt Luxury From E. ), 1100$ after discount. It should include one layer of latex and some bamboo materials. The dealer said it is very chemical free.
We have no other complain on this beautiful mattress except that both of us, me and my husband, were feeling a lot of HEAT during the late night. The heat bother me so much, I can't have good sleep during the night. Absolutely, we need to exchange to another one. We have bought a PAB mattress protector, so we have a chance to exchange a new type. But now we don't know what's the cause for this extreme heat, maybe because luxury firm, or Latex, momery foam, foils?
Do some one here know what's possible reason for the heat? We are very afraid the one we choose next will be the same as this one. And we need to point out that the old sealy bed has no this problem for us.
I will sleep on the sofa tonight to avoid the heat of our new Englanda mattress :((.
If your bed has memory it will definitely have heat issues because the memory foam molds according to weight and heat. Manufactures of higher end beds try to correct this with materials that take the sweat off your body and evaporate it with different breathing systems (just like pro athlete's shirts). Check to see if your bed is made with any type of memory foam.
I have read all of these comments and can't understand how these are all real.
The english rule seems all alike when reading the really frustrated ones. I would think that if all of these comments were from "real" owners and all different people the english and spelling would be different, not the same.
I am looking at buying an Englander bed and would have to say that based on the comments that can't spell or put a sentence together correctly I would have to ignore them.
The problem with consumers now days is they complain about everything. Most of the customers that are having troubles with body impressions purchased a 15 inch pillowtop or a mattress with 5 or more inches of padding over the springs and then they get upset when it shows an impression. It is rare to find people with any common sense anymore. The more padding regardless of the brand of mattress will sag more. Your complaints should be with the foam manufactures because everyone buys the bulk of their foams from the same third party foam manufactures. We sell Sealy, Simmons and Englander and have seen no difference in longevity but Englander is very easy to deal with if one of our customers has an issue with their mattress. Buy latex regardless of brand! It last the longest!
Wow - I am surprised at all the negative comments. We just bought our son an Englander and are now thinking about returning it and getting something else. Go with Beautyrest - I've had mine for over 20 years and still love it. Don't go to Mattress World - they are a total rip off.
I am looking to buy the Englander's Nature's Finest 100% latex mattress. Does anyone out there have any comments on it. Does it sag. I see the other reviews, but they appear to be innerspring mattress.
Thanks,
VGC

Hi,
I purchased a Madison model Englander king size bed in January. It was delivered one month later. The first night we realized the mattress was lopsided, I mean one side was higher than the other. The bar that surrounds the bed was also damaged on one side so when you sit on the bed it dips way down.
With many communications with the store where we purchased the mattress going nowhere, and then the store closing, we contacted the englander factory ourselves.
Immediately someone was sent out to inspect the bed and it was determined that the bed had problems.
We can no longer get another Madison model, we were offered a Venice model. Does anyone know anything about the Venice Model?
I'd actually like to upgrade and get box springs instead of the foundations the sales person told me englander only made, plus I'd rather get two xl twins instead of the king size, I believe the span of the king size is just too much for the type of manufacturing that it has. And yes, our bed has the hump in the middle and the two indentations from our bodies, but that is not our problem with the mattress. The materials in the king size just can't support the large span, plus the bar that surounds the mattress should have never been put with hinges on the sides of the mattress, makes no sense to put hinges where people sit to get in and out of the bed.
Will contact White cross sleep products in philadelphia, Pa, the manufacturer of our bed, and see if upgrades can be done, I sure hope so because so far I am not pleased with the brand.
Like sidhebear said we bought a Englander 2 years ago. now it has dipped where I lay, and this is quite uncomfortable. I'm not happy with the warranty either, seems like we have to ship it to find out if they will replace or fix the problem. We are going to have to purchase a sealy, serta or Simmons from a reputable mattress store.
Greetings,
I have been selling Englander products at Mattress Barn for many years. I have handled warranty exchanges, comfort issues, defects and buyer’s remorse.
PLEASE understand Body impressions (sag) are normal. If an impression is 2 inches or more you can get a warranty exchange, for a model comparable or pay the difference to upgrade. Warranties are void if there is visible stains, you can have it cleaned. If you can’t get stains removed then you are out of luck. If you care to know why, it’s due to federal laws prohibiting the transportation of hazardous waste, For instance blood on a mattress. Please refur to your warranty card for full coverage detials.
Things to really consisder when selecting a mattress. Coil count, coil gauge(thickness of coil),the spicific foam used in product and lastly exchange policy. These are important factors that will equate good support, durability and comfort in a long term sleep system (Mattress). Not all mattresses have coils. There are alternatives such as all foam. There is Laytex and memory foam Sleep systems.
I'm very fortunate to have a manufacture such as Englander, on my showroom floor. I asure you that regaurdless of who the manufacture is there are post like this review.
Im happy to answer any questions inregaurds to my post, just go to mattress barns forums. Subsection Mattress barn showrooms/Rockledge store and post your questions and comments.

I bought an Englander almost a year ago. i totally love it..until a few weeks ago, I've noticed it squeaks every time I get into bed. i hate the noise. Has anyone had this pronlem?
I'm on my 3rd Englander in just over 3 years. The first two ended up having a trough that was 2 1/2" deep for me to sleep in, so after having two bad mattresses, they upgraded to a higher priced and different style unit. Obviously the original one I bought was just a poor design. So now I'm on my third one, which is about two years old and it is killing my wife and I every night. THIS IS THE WORST PRODUCT THAT I'VE BOUGHT FOR MY HOUSE. EVERY MORNING I WAKE UP CURSING THIS THING.
My husband and I were married in Oct of 2009, bought an Englander from Bailey's Furniture in Kenai Alaska. It is now one year later, and I agree, this pillowtop is junk. We are both small people,so weight is not the issue! And I do not work for their competition, I'm a cook standing long hours and wanting some comfort at the end of the day. Just can't find it when we're both jammed up into the sinkhole in the middle of the bed. Never again!
Ive had several brands of mattresses and Englander has been my favorite. I didnt have to spend $1200 to get an awsome bed. Its lasted 4 years so far and I still love it. People with sag issues or dips, do you have center support frame?!?! Look up any other brands reviews you'll see the same exact complaints........
This is the third time I've tried to leave a comment (and been messed up by Google).
I am going to summarize my very long previous comments.
The only reason I am up at 5 AM instead of sleeping is because our Englander Gleneagle Pillowtop (premium foundation") was delivered yesterday.
I awoke at 3:32 AM to climb out of the trough which my body made in the mattress (after only 4 hours of sleeping).
I hate this mattress. I want my Sealy back (the one we've slept on for the past 22 years)!
I hope the store will give let us exchange it (after only one night's sleep).
