Kingsdown Mattress

We all hear about Sealy mattresses and Serta mattresses which somehow makes us think that they are the only one who manufacture them. Or at least, the only one who know how to do it right. The truth is, there are plenty of other mattress manufacturers who know how to make quality products. And this is why we decided to bring you a Kingsdown mattress review, so you can see that there are more choices for you when it comes to quality.

Believe it or not, Kingsdown is making mattresses for more then 100 years. That's right. And they are specialized in inner spring items. Yes, I know that Simmons has pocketed coil mattress and that there are more memory foam mattress options then ever, but Kingsdown mattress is awesome quality product in its niche - inner spring. The company is doing what they do best, and there is nothing bad about that. They do not feel the need to spread. There are plenty of others who are doing it, so Kingsdown is making a difference. And this makes it possible for them to make a lower price mattress. This is a huge advantage so Kingsdown beds are a good opportunity.

The company strives in creating better products, and their Kingsdown body system mattress is their latest and finest mattress. It is made out of full coil and the coils are from high tempered steel. Ok, you say, nothing special. But the catch is, they used the calculations and technology in order to create a comfortable mattress, that is good as any other - or even better. The construction of Kingsdown Body Shape mattress will allow that entire body has optimal position during sleep. This is exactly why this mattress is a great solution, and the consumers are satisfied with the results. And when compared to other quality mattresses, like Sealy and Simmons, there is no difference in comfortability. The consumers can't quite tell the difference and feel that Kingsdown mattress is giving them what they need. I think that is more then enough.

One interesting tool Kingsdown has is their Dormo diagnostic sleep machine. It is supposed to help you in deciding which mattress suits you best by analyzing your answers to the questions. We all know it's not really cool to try out a mattress in a store, so this little gadget helps you pick a best Kingsdown mattress for yourself.

Lets mention one fantastic item that you may be interested in. It's a Kingsdown partner perfect mattress that tries to absorb the motion made by a sleeper. Usually, inner spring mattresses cause waves through the entire structure. But this product is made to reduce those waves and it does the job quite good. It's not great, but it definitely is better at it then the rest inner spring mattresses.

You will also be able to find different lines of Kingsdown mattresses. One of them is a Plush sense, and the best one there uses ProEdge spring system which provides you with better comfort due to it's firmer edges. You know that plenty of mattresses get all crooked when it comes to edges, and ProEdge spring system is Kinsdown answer to that.

Most of mattresses from this company are hypo allergenic. Some of them use Flexatron and super soft foam, as well as Qualatex. These are all materials that improve the firmness and comfortability of a mattress so you can have a good, relaxing sleep.

Mot people still prefer inner spring mattresses and Kingsdown is an expert in that field. We strongly suggest you try one of them and compare it to others. You will probably go for it, since you will have the same quality other mattress manufacturers offer, but for a lower price. I hope you found what you were looking for in this Kingsdown bed review.

I have a kingsdown mattress queen size. It was a pricey mattess and I have had it for about 8 years. It is sagging and lumpy and when I bought it the salesman told me it would be good at least 10 years. My hips, back and shoulders are killing me. I am upset that I paid almost three thousand for it and I wouldnt recommend it.

We are now trying to get ours replaced because of the deep sagging on both sides. My wife and I call the middle of the bed "The Hump". If you get caught sleeping on it in the middle of the night you're in for a sore back the next day...We paid over $1700 for ours and wish we had done some more research before we bought.

I noticed a mattress article on AOL today so decided to look at it. In that article, Kingsdown was #10. I have one. I have had it just about 10 years now. I LOVE it! I bought it when I lived in VA and I am happy to know now that Sleepy's, here in NJ, sells them. I will surely buy another. I suppose it is time, but so far, it is still great. For reference, I have spinal arthritis and I sleep so well each and every night. We turn it maybe a couple of times a year and I know you must do that. Perhaps the owners from the other comments have a different model than mine, but I will stick with what works for me. Sleep is the most important part of our health.

My Kingsdown feels like a waterbed and nothing like the one we saw in the showroom. We have had it for just over four months now and are completely unhappy.

I have had a kingsdown queen size mattress for 3 years now. It is a no flip mattress. The first 3 years were great but the last 3 months have been horriable. The mattress does not have the typical sag from where 2 people lay. It sags on the head end of the mattress. I could understand if I was jumping on the bed or had weight issues but my wife and I are both under 175 pounds and the mattress makes it feel like the blood if running to your head from the extreme sag. I tried turning the end around and now it feels like we are going to slide off the bed. I filed a complaint and was told someone would be in contact with me in 48 hours. One week later and i still have heard nothing. If I only wanted a few years out of a mattress I could have bought a cheap one every 3 years for the price and came out better. NOT WORTH THE PRICE AND POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.

just wanted to say thanks (and sympathies) to all the kingsdown commenters for saving me from a nightmare...almost bought one, till i googled.

sleep tight.

My Kingsdown has been awful, I have had it for 4 months and there is a huge hump in the middle and holes on each side of it. When I called Sleepy's to ask what was in it, they said Kingsdown doesn't provide that info!!! How can you sell something without listing its contents. He said they were able to give the "specs" on every other brand but not Kingsdown. I basically threw my hard-earned $2500 out the window. DONT BUY THIS BRAND THEY ARE DECEPTIVE

I bought this mattress 4 months ago and I have been miserable ever since. I should have kept my 20 yr old mattress. I tried to take it back to Mattress Giant, and they tried to stick me with a restocking fee, and I had to pay the difference on another mattress, which was going to be another $1000 for another brand. Both of our backs hurt every night and this mattress is not worth the dumpster I'm getting ready to throw it in. DON'T BUY THIS MATTRESS, ITS A HUGE WASTE OF MONEY. ITS NOTHING LIKE IN THE STORE. But then again, how do you know how a bed feels after laying on it for 30 min in the store? Its impossible to gauge how you will sleep for 8 hrs, and that's how these mattress places get you.

My husband and I have a vacation home on the Jersey shore. We're only there 4 months of the year so we didn't want to spend a fortune on a king size mattress. The salesperson at Sleepy's told us about Kingsdown. We had a trial period (I don't recall if it was 30 or 90 days) but we LOVE it! It's now been on our bed for 4 years and everytime we get back to the shore, we look forward to our Kingsdown mattress. Since we only have about 16 months full-time use on the mattress, I'm not sure how it will last through the years but, I would definately buy another one.

We went to a Sleepy's store and were forced to lay on the machine...It was very cute, but no computer is going to tell me what bed to buy. We bought the one with the really soft fur from another company called Mirrorlux. I have to say that we were also treated well and that we got delivery the next day.

Well, what are you talking about. THe Sleep to Live machine is very impressive and we use it on every customer. We are forced to do it by our boss harry. We do not mean to be forceful to our consumers, but since harry makes more money on the Kingsdown. You know how it is you have to protect number one...

"but since harry makes more money on the Kingsdown. You know how it is you have to protect number one..."

This is so funny..... I couldn't resist.

I have been sleeping on a kingsdown mattress for about 18 years now -- the SAME kingsdown mattress. I can't say enough about how this bed has changed the quality of my sleep. I have never had any problems with them. Most of the people in my family also sleep on kingsdown, and I think this website is a scam, because I don't know anyone who has EVER had any problems with one.

I bought my first kingsdown when my doctor told me my torn rotator cuff needed some "serious pressure relief". That was about 10 years ago. I decided to go to a king size, so I have just bought my second, a tranquility. My kids fought over who would get the queen size - even at 10 years old - it is still just that good!

I had a problem with sagging on one side of my Kingsdown (my husband weighs over 300 lbs). We sent in some photos, and copied the info on the tag, and we got a brand new mattress completely Free. They were easy to deal with, and the bed was replaced, no questions asked. It was almost 16 years old! We LOVE Kingsdown. I'll never buy anything else.

The best money I have ever spent is on my Kingsdown Mattress Set. I sleep like a baby, and my husband has stopped tossing and turning all night. It feels amazing, and we are both sleeping great. Money VERY well spent.

When my wife picked out a kingsdown matteress, I about flipped because it was nearly 3 grand. But now that we have slept on it for about 5 years I think she made a great choice. We are buying one now for my parents. I wouldn't never buy them anything less than kingsdown.

We love our Kingsdown King's Court, we have had it for many years. We just tried to buy one for a second home we bought in Florida, and were distressed to learn that they don't make the King's Court anymore.
We bought the "elegant" which the salesman said was the same thing. It is just as nice as our Kings Court, and I am so relieved. Kingsdown has been a good investment for us, and I highly recommend them.

I just got delivered my new queen size Kingsdown mattress GREEN. It was perfect when I tried in store but now it doesn't feel as comfortable.
Mattress is definitley harder.Does it get softer with use ?

I work for Sleepy's, and I was never a huge fan of the Body Diagnostics line-up. The new Sleep to Live line-up, on the other hand, has been amazing. Far less "bounce" in the mattress and fewer customer service issues so far. To those talking about edge support: in most Kingsdown mattresses, the edge is designed to be the same firmness as the middle of the mattress. So, if you get a softer Kingsdiwn mattress, the edge is going to be softer to match. For those complaining about a "hump" in the bed, get a warranty inspection. You may be entitled to a free mattress.

I LOVE MY KINGSDOWN mattress! I have had it for 2 years now and it is so comfortable, I hate getting out of bed. I would recommend this mattress to anyone who wants a heavenly night's sleep.

I've had my full size Kingsdown mattress for 10 years now, and it's still great. I've not noticed any of the sagging or "hump" problems. I do flip it every 4-6 months though, if I remember to do so. I still highly recommend shopping around to find what's best for you though, and don't be so quick to buy something just because it's cheap or because it's the only brand you've ever heard of. I'm a firm believer of "you get what you pay for".

My wife and I love our Kingsdown. We had a small issue but it was handled quickly and easily. We actually brag about our bed to friends. Kingsdown customer for life? Maybe, as long as they treat us right- because we love their product!

Interesting ...
Just noticed that 3 positive comments on the same day May 23rd 7:11 PM , 7:15 PM and 7:17. Another 3 positive comments next day around same time 7:06 PM, 7:09 PM and 7:13 PM. While all other messages are scattered over weeks, if not months.

I am sure that all those 6 positive comments are from the SAME persona who is somehow related to Kingsdown and I believe they are real "SPAM"

I am trying to buy a beethoven king size for about 2100 and these comments makes me rethink about my decision.

This mattress absolutely sucks! I have had it for less than a few weeks, and I went from having no body aches, to aching all over! I find myself tossing and turning, and in the short time I have had it, it is already showing sings of sag, so avoid this mattress, if you don't want to be rob!

My Mother is looking for a great mattress...she has sleeping problems. Our local furniture stores--Ethan Allen and Boyles--both carry Kingsdown.
BUT they all go under different names for the store and they're different prices.
HOW DO you know which name brand to get? We're looking at the Bella at Ethan Allen. Does anyone have the Bella????

Please stop this nonsense. Kingsdown is a great company. I own 3 of there top of the line mattresses. Stop commenting on there low end mattress
A great mattress does not cost $1500. We spent $3500 on each of ours.
Get a life people

We bought our kingsdown mattress a little over a year ago. I loved it from the start and I still love it!! We have not had any sagging and we both sleep great. I would recommend this mattress to anyone!!

I've had my Kingsdown for seven years now and still love it. No lumps or sagging. And I've only flipped it each time I moved into a new apartment, which has been three times since I've had it. I paid about $600 for Queen, and it was on sale from $900, I think.

I have only had my Kingsdown Mattress for about 6 years, but it still sleeps great. I couldn't be happier with it.

Just bought a 400 series Sleep to Live last night. Our previous bed (a high-end Beauty Rest) was only 6 years old, but both my husband and I would usually wake up during the night a time or two, and we tossed and turned with little rest. Laying on the Kingsdown felt heavenly, but I slept worse last night than ever before! A brand new bed at that price should have had me sleeping like a baby. We passed on a VERY nice Sealy that would have saved us $300. I believe this one will be going back for exchange!

Anyone here ever thought about buying a memory foam mattress?

I'm interested in buying a Sleep To Live 600 series king from Sleepy's. How much should I pay?

I have had my Kingsdown for 4 years, and it feels just the same as it did on Day 1. I've had at least 10 mattresses over the years, and the Kingsdown is the best one I've ever had!!! I have a hard time sleeping now, if I am not at home in my Kingsdown.
p.s. - I have never had ANY lumpy problems like people have mentioned..?? My mattresses is just like new, 4 years later.

I am in the market for a new bed. I am upgrading to a king size.
I have a 4 year old Kingsdown mattress. I will probably go with Kingsdown again if the store I choose to by from has there product.

I have tried the 400 red and liked it, however the diagnostic said I should use the blue. I sleep on my side and that is the side I have problems with: shoulder and neck. My mattress is 15 yrs old so I know that it is due. I also use a temperpedic pillow, also very old.

My dilemna is a choice between the Deluxe Bed-Temperpedic or the Sleep to Live 400 series. I do not want the $800 difference sway me. They each are very comfortable, what concerns me is all the negative comments about the Kingsdown. Any thoughts?

Just bought a Kingsdown, and I couldn't be happier. I have a bad back (at the age of 26), and I wake up feeling well rested, and painless. It's made for a better quality of sleep, and in turn, a better quality of life.
