Tempurpedic Mattress

In case you don't know, Tempurpedic mattress was the first mattress from memory foam family to hit the stores. The original intent of the Danish company was to make a medical mattress but since the Tempurpedic mattress had so many benefits, they decided to release it to a wider audience. And this is how a NASA technology was slowly developed into a product for men and women all across the world. You can find more about this type of mattress in our today's Tempurpedic mattress review.

How come this product is so special? Besides being made with the best technology available and researched with the utmost precision, it actually delivers the value. There are plenty of mattresses out there who do not provide what customer needs. But the tempurpedic mattresses are different then some spring mattress that is covered by thickly padded ticking. There are no pressure points to be found on a Tempurpedic mattress and that is the main advantage over the spring mattress that can cause aching back and pain in the joints.

Elastic material that is found in every Tempurpedic mattress is what keeps our back in line and in comfort. There is no pressure since the weight is distributed properly and the whole surface adjusts to our body.

Just check some online resources for consumer reviews and you will see how many people are satisfied with what Tempurpedic memory foam mattress gives to them. The exact statistics are not available to us, but we probably won't be much wrong if we say that a Tempurpedic is the best mattress on the market right now. There is a huge number of doctors and chiropractors who recommend that people use Tempur mattress. This tells you about the quality, and you can read plenty of Tempurpedic mattress reviews to read the same thing.

You will definitely notice the quality of your sleep, since there will be less tossing and turning with less pain in your back. This is clinically tested and proven fact and 23,000 people vouch for that. Just take a look at the other neat thing - a 60 days night home trial. Come on, where else can you have that? If you do not like the mattress, you can give it back. But the thing is you will, and the seller knows that. So you will definitely keep your Tempurpedic mattress at your home. And all the other bedding will become less important when you fill your king size bed with one of these cool cushions.

The other manufacturers are trying to copy Tempur and have some good results. They see what is the future and they have to keep on track with what is happening in the bedding industry. You can really find some great deals for beds and pillows, just take a look at your local store. And online shops are great place to find discount mattresses, that's for sure.

The Tempur Pedic mattress is having a great reputation and if you buy one of them, you won't regret it. You have a wide variety of mattresses to choose from, so I am sure you will find something you like. You are able to choose from: Tempur Pedic OriginalBed, Tempur Pedic ClassicBed, Tempur Pedic AdjustableBed, Tempur Pedic CelebrityBed and Tempur Pedic GrandBed.

Each of these models have their own benefits and features. You can read all about them online, or find a Tempurpedic mattress review on our blog to find the information you need.

I bought a Temper-Pedic Deluxe because of all the ads claiming health benefits. I have a little lower back issue, and was really hopeful that this would help aleviate it. It was pretty comfortable in the store - but at home it was so HOT I couldn't stand to sleep on it. I went back to the store and was unhappy about the restocking fee - but it was worth it to make this bed go away. I won't waste my money again. I woke up in a sweat every night. Horrible. We switched to a high end inner-spring, and I couldn't be happier.

Please, Please tell me the high end you chose because I am having trouble with my back and can not find one that I like. Thanks

Tempurpedics do not give you enough support for your back if you are more than, say, 120 lb.

They feel GREAT the first night or two and then they start softening up and soon you are having back aches.

I think the older you are and the heavier you are, the more this mattress is not going to work for you.

My wife and I tried one and luckily we were able to return it with very little loss of investment. If you want to go with a foam mattress, try latex over springs (not latex alone).

My husband and I have had our Tempur-pedic Advantage mattress for almost 3 months. I wanted to wait on writing a review until I knew what I really thought of it after some use. The first night, I slept like a baby. But the second and third night it was a little odd, and I did have some soreness when I woke up. I believe this was just an adjustment period because now I LOVE this mattress. I wouldn't trade it for any other. I look froward to going to bed at night and I will pass out after being in bed for 5 minutes. I used to have to watch t.v. to fall asleep but now I don't even turn the t.v. on anymore. My husband and I are not tiny people. We are average size, and the mattress does not sag like people say. When your body gets warmer the mattress forms to your body better. It makes it more comfortable and provides better blood flow. I know this is true, because I don't wake up with sore feet in the morning anymore. I used to hate taking that first step out of bed every morning. My husband noticed this too. The only con I can think of is that the mattress cover that you can buy for an additional 80 dollars is not worth it. That mattress cover made me so hot and sweaty at night I couldn't sleep. The three nights I slept with it on the mattress I didn't sleep well at all... I took it off and the problem was gone. I wonder if this is the issue many people have with the mattress being too hot. It seems like the mattress protector doesn't allow the mattress to breath properly. Other than that, this mattress was cheaper than most Tempur-pedics, but don't let that fool you. If you like a bit more of a firmer mattress with excellent support and comfort... definitely try this one! It's not the cost you should look at with this mattress. It's very high-quality!

Thank for this awesome blog. It's so hard to pick a mattress. No matter what store you go into they all claim they have the best.

I was wondering if you have any thoughts on the "Relax your Back" brand?

Thank you, Brandy

we bought a tempurpedic because of all the ads, we had no problem with it, and we slept just fine, then after several months, when we were aabout to move to a different house, we discovered that there were moulds under the mattress! we called the service dept and they told us that it could be the humidity.we were very upset since "environment" wasnt covered by the warranty! bottom line-- the mattress doesnt breath and it retains the moisture it absorbs..thus causing moulds! what a waste of money! we had paid for an extended warranty as well!

I bought a Tempurpedic mattress a few days ago and it is the most unconfortable out of all that I have tried. I hope the store that I bought it from will take it back or I will be out $3100 as I can't sleep on it.

I understand that people have different needs so this is not my problem with Tempurpedic.I tried the bed for 2 months and it was not for me.After 4 hours on my side my lower foot was actually not on the bed because my hip would sink in so far it would lever my foot up in the air.Now for the problem:Delivery was a nightmare,Tempurpedic gave the shipping co. an incomplete address and wrong phone #.When the delivery failed Tempurpedic gave me the shippers phone # and washed their hands of the problem.Return was worse, after I called to have the bed picked up,3 months to get bed picked up and 4 more months to get my money back.7 months to get my money back, after calling for pickup.

We have a tempurpedic, the new "cloud" one - it's awful for me, fine for my husband. I think it is not made for lightweight people (me), there is no support and every morning I wake up with back pain. Neither my husband nor I can sleep on our stomachs on the bed because then we are virtually crippled in the morning. It really doesn't provide any support, there is no "sinking in" when you are thin. It's been about a year of pain, we spent $$$ and I kept hoping the pain would stop.

Anonymous said...

Not for thin people at all - I wake every morning with pain in my back that requires then minutes of stretching to abate. My husband, 200 lbs 6 3" is fine. However, neither one of us can sleep on our stomach without being in severe pain in the a.m. There is really no support. I think it's all a good marketing hype, which I fell for. oh well.

I bought my Tempurpedic about 20 days ago. VERY expensive $4000.99. I am suppose to the 100 day "Happiness" Guaranty" and I sure hope so. I wont be keeping it. I was assured that the "Bamboo" top covering, did away with the heat holding issue within the mattress allowing it to breath. NOT so, I find myself tossing, turning, and kicking over the top sheet and bedspread to get away from the heat.Do NOT buy a mattress pad/cover that is "waterproofing" this only holds in the heat. I recently had back surgery and was hoping the Tempurpedic was going to be my answer. I hate to take it back but I can NOT spend 4 grand on a mattress that doesn't hold up to the advertising.

My husband and I bought the tempurpedic because of back issues. For the 30 day test period, we were comfortable enough on it, but as time stretched beyond that, the back issues came back even worse. When I caught my husband rolling out of bed like an old man (we aren't) and groaning in pain, we started to realize that this mattress does NOT work for us. As another reviewer said, if you weigh more than 120lbs, this isn't your thing. The heaviest, warmest part of you sinks the most and that being your backside, puts you into a mild pike position that puts more strain on your lower back than a regular mattress. This mattress was killing us. Also, while the thing DOES get hotter than most mattresses, we got the highest end one with the layers and air flow system, which did help some. You'll still be hotter than a normal mattress as these reflect heat, but the air flow deal helped. But if you have lower back problems, this is NOT for you. A very expensive mistake for us. Disappointed. We are now on a standard mattress and don't hurt every morning.

We bought the Cloud model for a second home in Florida, and I love the support, the "quiet" nature of it (don't feel or hear the insomniac husband getting up and down at night), and I sink right into it and would sleep like a baby EXCEPT.....I'm so darn hot...sweating...soaking wet and waking to roll away from the puddle I'm lying in! I stumbled on this site looking for an answer to this problem rather than pitching the mattress out the window. I initially had regular sheets on the bed: sweating. Then put a mattress pad on it: sweating. Going to try it without the mattress pad again tonight and turning up the AC and fan over the bed....so we shall see. Anyone have any clue? Email me at blanca36@aol.com. Thank You in advance!

We are just returning our tempurpedic bella fina. It makes me feel sick and makes my eyes water. I am told that this is because of the toluene and formaldehyde. I would not recommend this type of mattress for anyone.

Tempur mattresses should not be sold in Queensland as they 'cook' you.
We bought the mattress as we both have bad back problems but unfortunately our problems were made worse with this mattress. So not only was I suffering lack of sleep from being so hot I cooked every morning I would get up with severe back pain as well. We now have a $4000 mattress in our spare room. A very expensive mistake. I wish I would have read reviews before we bought it and also wish the sales people from Harvey Norman were honest enough to tell you how hot the mattress really makes you.

We slept on a $900 Costco foam mattress for 5+ years. Each side sagged after about 3 years, leaving a ridge in the middle. We managed this reasonably well by adding material under the sagged areas. We finally broke down and bought a $3,500 Tempur-Pedic 15 months ago. I filed a warranty claim because the Tempur-Pedic started doing the same thing in less than a year. Had I looked into their warranty claim procedure, I may not have bought it. I've had my claim rejected twice for not following their procedure, but they fail to explain what they find wrong. They require the mattress to sag the depth equal to the height of a quarter and we have significant sag when on the mattress that is not apparent unloaded, so no warranty applies. I plan to add material under the mattress to get us by. Don't waste your money on Tempur-Pedic. Foam is great to sleep on, but I wish I had bought another Costco mattress. The dealer is totally useless for warranty claims. I am 6'-2" and 230#, my wife considerably smaller.

I am very unhappy with the tempurPedic! I have had back problems for years and bought into all the hype. I live in a cold area and like a cold bedroom at night. The mattress is hard as a rock until it warms up then gets hot spots and I sweat. It was very uncomfortable for a cold climate. Luckily I bought it from a reputable store and they took it back. I traded it for a Doctor's Choice Mattress from the same store. It was 1/3 the price and I have never been happier.

I have a Tempur-Pedic Cloud Luxe, and my wife and I love it!

I weigh 160 lbs., and both my wife and I have spinal problems. Previous to sleeping on the Tempur-Pedic when I slept on my side, I would wake up with a sore shoulder. Sometimes my hand would be tingly from hindered circulation. The mattress will not solve my spinal issues, but it does alleviate the discomfort that results from the above mentioned issues.

I would recommend Tempur-Pedic to anyone.

We tried a tempur-pedic mattress. At first, it feels sooo good, but in a day, when you wake up with headache from toxins in the mattress and it ruins your health you just want to get rid of it. We tried to ventilate it, kept all windows open, nothing helped. I would wake up with a headache and nausea. Do not buy tempur-pedic it will damage your health. It offgasses too much and is quite toxic. I do not know how they can sell it to people in the first place.

we have been very unhappy with our purchase. For the first few months it was comfortable, but like others have said, the sagging got worse over time. We are each sleeping in our respective "holes" and its impossible to change position. The middle of the bead is a giant ridge that no one can climb. We both have back issues and I have chronic pain. The temper pedic has not helped with any of it. We bought the cover for $80...big mistake! Too hot.
We are shopping for a new bed and will be going back to innersprings for much much less money.

I had a Tempurpedic mattress a few years back, but it left me with constant shoulder tension every single morning. Do you know if thats common with these mattresses?

When I take a nap on my wonderful couch, my hip will start aching, so I toss and turn. With my Tempurpedic I have no hip pain! Sometimes I'll fall asleep on my side and wake up in the same position.... something I've never done before. Before the Tempurpedic, I tossed and turned all night. I love the way it cradles our body. No pain when I wake up. Would recommend to everyone!
